8.5km with hills this morning. Avg pace 5:35/km Avg HR 146bpm. •
Hills were on the breakfast menu today. 6 x 200m with jogging recovery. It was hard work 🥵. But I'm happy with my effort because I'm feeling yucky and groggy. My hayfever came back with a vengeance yesterday, not sure why. I took an antihistamine last night and woke up with what almost felt like a hangover 🤕. But my main motivation for getting through this session was that if I didn't do it today while my son was at nursery, I'd have to do it tomorrow with him in the stroller 😂. •
To pump myself up, I blasted a fun disco playlist from Spotify through my @aftershokzuk and got it done while having myself a little disco party in my head 🕺. I think I was born too late, I was meant to be a disco diva 👑. I wouldn't even need to perm my hair 💁. •
Happy Tuesday guys 💃. .

During my week away from the ‘gram I made the BEST chocolate chip banana bread 🐒🍌 I know I say this every time but it really is the best. Lmk if y’all want to see more recipes on here!
Chocolate Chip Banana Bread 👇🏻
1️⃣ Mix (1 c whole wheat flour + 2/3 c sugar + 2 tsp baking powder + 1/2 tsp baking soda + 1/4 tsp salt + 1 tbsp cinnamon) until well combined
2️⃣ Add 1 c mashed ripe banana, which is about 2-3 med bananas, and mix until fairly smooth. Don’t worry if there are lumps!
3️⃣ Add 6 tbsp melted butter + 1 tsp vanilla and mix
4️⃣ Add 2 tbsp almond milk and beat on high for 2 min
5️⃣ Add 2 eggs or flax egg equivalent + 3/4 c flour + 1/2 c semi-sweet chocolate chips
6️⃣ Pour mixture into greased pan, top with generous tbsp (or 2) of raw sugar and bake at 350 degrees for 60 min
Give running, work, and life your very best—you never know when you might encourage someone else to push themselves a little harder or even a little farther.
I had a speed workout on the treadmill today. About half way through, the guy next to me asked how far I was going. Then he said, “Well I was only going to go two miles, but if you’re pushing yourself, I’m gonna push myself and go three!” It was super encouraging to know I can push others without having to say a word!
Here’s the workout:

(90 sec jog recovery between reps)

"Running fills the cup that has to pour out for others. Running feeds the soul that has a responsibility to nourish. Running sets the anchor that limits the drift of the day. Running clears the mind that has a myriad of challenges to solve. Running tends to the self so that selfishness can subside."
Kristin Armstrong .
Whatever fills your cup, feeds your soul, sets the anchor, clears the mind, or tends to who you are... just do it. Unapologetically.
