These buddies are going in the kiln tomorrow and I’m so excited!
Lin @pinkmoon.co here 🌼 I have to admit, I was never really a fan of powdered masks before trying Sungod. While I usually relish in my skincare ritual, for some reason, masking was something that felt like an afterthought. Due to lack of time and energy, I just wanted something I could effortlessly apply and rinse off after 30 minutes. But with the help of Sungod, I’ve come to realize that powdered masks are just as wonderful as their pre-made counterparts.
I’ve personally come to love powdered masks because they allow me to create my own personalized skin treatment. As a matter of fact, the process has actually helped me better understand my skin. While I love using Sungod for its unique ingredients, I also love how it makes me reflect on my skin’s needs. This happened as a result of needing to consider what activating liquid will best help my skin on any given day. I now find the process of making Sungod come to life with liquid additives, like hydrosol or a rich local raw honey, to be a meditative ritual.
While I appreciate how experimenting with Sungod helped me appreciate powdered masks and my skin’s needs more, I was initially drawn to it because of its nurturing and reparative formula. This mask is a celebration of botanical beauty. Wildflower Pollen, which gives the mask its muted yellow hue, was of particular interest to me because each bit of pollen will have constituents from hundreds to thousands of flowering plants—from trees to herbs and wildflowers! This creates a unique and nutrient-dense base for the mask.
In addition to Wildflower Pollen, Sungod is filled with roots, mushrooms, adaptogenic herbs, leaves, flowers, fruits, seeds, and mineral-rich Celtic salt. In case you’re nervous about the salt (I know I was!), you can rest assured that the mask will in no way be abrasive on the skin because the ingredients are triple-milled in order to create a very fine and soft powder. Once it is activated with liquid, that soft powder adopts a smooth and creamy consistency.
I feel like Sungod is a celebration of life. With its delicate floral aroma, flora filled formula, and its approach to healing. CONTD BELOW⬇️
