Roughly over 9 months ago I made the decision to never #litter again. May seem minuscule to some but for me it was a big deal. I had been unkind to Mother Earth for so many years. The universe deserves more respect than what we give it. Not only that but I was in the car with my 4 year old one day and he rolls his window down and proceeds to throw a piece of paper out the window. Obviously he had seen mommy do the same thing so I corrected the both of us. “Mommy didn’t do a very good thing when she threw paper out the window. From now on we will be sure to throw paper in the trash not on the ground.” Now whenever we’re out or at the playground and he sees trash on the ground he’ll stop playing pick the trash up and find a trash can. Or if he sees another kid throw trash on the ground he says no you have to put it in the trash Lol. This video is from today, me walking to class and taking in the beauty. Reflecting on the fact that I really use to be a litterbug.
So me when i was a kid, i was a #creative, #treehugging, #literbug #hating, #recycling, #animalloving#lovingearth#natureloving kid. We need to get back to nature. One of my goals for the next year is to spend as much time outdoors as possible.
I know this to be so true. Living in the Bible belt I know a lot of self proclaimed Christians. But there is liter everywhere. I live in an apartment complex, and the children leave garbage all.ober the place. The grown ups arent much better. On specific neighbor of mine always throws trash out of his car, and into the parking lot. Even though hes less than 30ft from a dumpster.
Seriously?! Have some respect.
