Developing an attitude of gratitude is one of the simplest ways to improve our quality of life.
We often forget how much we’ve grown as a person over the days, weeks, months and years.
Take a moment and reflect on your last 3 months.
What have you achieved?
It may not necessarily be something big.
It can be the little things that we take for granted.
It’s often the tiny steps that define the big moments of our dreams.
Celebrate the little victories and achievements you’ve accumulated along the way.
I know it’s easy to be trapped in our day to day activities, hustling and grinding as some would call it… that we are living on autopilot.
We may even forget why are we doing what we are doing. The pursuit of success can often reel us in deeper into working harder, giving more and doing more.
So it’s important to take a step back and celebrate yourself.
Be thankful for all the small victories as you work towards the large milestones as it’s not the endgame that matters most but how you got to where you are.
And that’s what makes life beautiful.

Nothingness is the fragrance of the beyond. It is the opening of the heart to the transcendental. It is the unfoldment of the one-thousand-petalled lotus. It is man's destiny. Man is complete only when he has come to this fragrance, when he has come to this absolute nothingness inside his being, when this nothingness has spread all over him, when he is just a pure sky, unclouded. This nothingness is what Buddha calls nirvana. First we have to understand what this nothingness actually is, because it is not just empty; it is full, it is overflowing. Never for a single moment think that nothingness is a negative state, an absence, no.☯☯☯

Just watched latest episode of Britain at Low Tide on catch-up. Bugger. Why is life not long enough to become an expert in everything? I really need another lifetime (and a lottery win) so I can spend more time on the foreshore doing intertidal archaeology, travel more, get my novel finished, sail and ski more, and I can hone my ski bootfitting skills yet further. Oh yeah, and land a better front leg roundhouse kick.
