Two of my favourite lessons! 🔥
Your progress will not be linear and that’s fine, you will see peaks and valleys and fluctuations all over the place and learning to accept this is okay. If it was easy everyone would be doing it!
Learning the basics is so important and rushing through the process will leave you in a bad position going forward... Set your foundation by learning techniques well at the beginning and building up work capacity before trying anything too fancy.
Also when you start out, almost anything will get you results so enjoy this time!
Nutrition basics should be mastered and made consistent, learn which foods have what in them and watch how easy counting calories is. If you fail to learn what is in your foods then you will spend your whole life guessing... doesn’t seem like a great idea to me!
What’s your favourite lesson to do with fitness? 👇

A wise person knows there is something to learn from everyone💯.
Too often we allow self doubt and low self image to silence our dreams and aspirations for our life😩.
God uses our imperfection, he uses us right where we are and he uses our ability for His divine will only if we allow Him to lead us. .
Everyone's journey is different. Yet we all have 1 life to live and we only have 24 hours in a day. Let's strive to accomplish the most with the limited time we have on earth because the end is near and soon you will regret not truly living😊.
If I can help 1 person who is in need of direction, who is struggling to overcome their fears, 1 person who needs encouragement to keep on going then I have achieved my purpose in life😎. .
Phenomenal things ahead🙌🔥🔥🔥

For this week in LGBTQ+ in the horse community I wanted to spotlight the @gaypololeague 🏳️🌈 They are an organization that really provides a safe space for queer equestrians of all types. In true polo match fashion they provide an excellent atmosphere and friendly competition within their own league! I am dying to go to one of their matches!
If you or someone you know is a member of the Black community and LGBTQ please DM me! I would love to spotlight someone during this month as it is important to remember how Pride started and recognize people in our community that face intersectional oppression. #firstpridewasariot

It is time to learn how to love and unlearn fear so the earth may be great again. We are all the sisterhood, a tribe of women who are rising and while we may not always have fond memories of the sisterhood from our past, it's time for us to heal our seperation and rebuild our bridges.
We have tried for too long to compete with one another, chasing perfection, adopting super hero status in an effort to be considered good enough, offering judgement to those who don't appear to make that cut at any given moment. We believed the lie that with drive and ambition comes comparison and competition and that we must stay ahead when the truth is all of our paths are different and we're always meant to be. We get lost when we loose sight of who we are and who we need to be and that can come at the cost of valuable connections with women all because of our personal fear of failure.
When we love ourselves, we stay in our own lane, that brings you the peace of running this marathon parallel with only your personal best as the end goal.

#Vietnam started to reopen on April 23rd, after flattening the #COVIDー19 curve.
What can the world learn from its reopening?
In a new @Global_Policy article, Ba-Linh Tran and I offer 4 lessons for the West:
Have you ever had a great #idea, but actually realized that the #lightbulb that went off was not as bright as you thought?
This was definitely the case with one of my #businessventures as a young #entrepreneur.
It was a dial-in RSVP service for weddings. 😶 The #concept was that instead of asking guests to send back an RSVP card, they would simply call an 800-number, enter a code, and the prompts would walk them through questions like "Press 1 if you are attending, Press 2 if you are not", and so on.
It stemmed from my own frustration with guests #failing to RSVP to my wedding and being completely stressed not knowing what head count to tell the caterer. I thought, logically, if guests had an easier way to RSVP, they would surely do so! Ding! 💡
But my #businessidea was flawed in one major way.
No bride wanted it!
As every great #lifelongentrepreneur can attest, skipping the critical step of testing #consumerdemand turned out was a very #badidea.
Since most brides have never been married before, I was solving a #painpoint they had not yet experienced, nor *would they* until it was then too late to sell them my product. 😯
I had failed to weigh the #timing of my offer, and the starry eyed notion of every young woman who always thinks everything would go perfectly.
Further, even if the demand HAD been there, I had also not thought ahead to what technologies may come after that would derail the idea of "calling in" an RSVP in the first place. The IPhone was not yet mainstream and #socialmedia was still in its budding stages, but would have meant the eventual death of the service down the road.
But the #PROCESS of #learning these #lessons was forever valuable, and even though the business was a #bust, I'm still grateful I went through it and was able to add the #lifelesson to my toolbelt.
So now I'm curious...what's one idea you've had in your #businessjourney that turned out to be not so great in the end?
I never said gun safety lessons would decrease mass shootings. You’re supporting my view of the lack of correlation between the two. Check the article I linked. My main concern is with the original tweet telling the school to “follow this kid closely”, insinuating that he is-

“They’re SUPPOSED to hate on you. What are they supposed to do? Make it EASY for you?” Gee (Graphix & Logos)
This was a very powerful lesson I had to learn. Even the most friendly competition can become unfriendly before you know it. I was venting to the big homie Gee about the opposition I was getting from friends and foes alike. I was annoyed and frustrated. After he said this, I had to look at things differently. He was right. All you can do is roll with the punches and find creative ways to get through the hate. Dealing with resistance is part of being great. And I’m working on being one of the greatest. Nobody said that was going to be easy.
#greatness #resistance#opposition#jealousy#envy#friendships#relationships#business#frienemies#respect#truth#growth#accountability#change#adjustments#life#communication #lessons
Let’s ensure that when we choose a relationship we are basing it on who someone is, rather than who we want them to become. Relationships are a great space for people to support each other in growth and healing, but we need to *accept* each other for who we are in that moment (or else we are likely to impose unrealistic expectations and create an atmosphere of resentment) •

We are called to act.
It is good to have a diverse circle of friends. To never use slurs against people because of their race, sexual orientation, class, or gender. But, we can do that and still function within a system that works to oppress others.
It takes much more doing to dismantle the systems that normalize and marginalize to lesser and greater degrees. Some subtle and some violent and deadly. And all of them connected.
Here are a few new writing prompts. There are hundreds more where that came from. Writing about these things will make you uncomfortable. It should. But examining your beliefs and values within the personal safety of your notebook is a good place to start. We are all so different and come from different places and spaces. We experience marginalized groups and being marginalized in different ways and at various intersections.
I have so much to learn, but I know that. So I question and challenge myself constantly. CONSTANTLY.

"If America is coming apart, the 1850s provide poignant lessons. That decade was the only time in our history when the nation dissolved, militarized, and ultimately went to war over competing visions of the future," David W.
