Why am I so happy in this pic?! No, it’s not because I like the cold weather 🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶 It’s because I 💗 my damn team!! Why? Because we live and breathe the #figureoutable philosophy. 👏🏼 Just today, someone on my team raised their hand because they were feeling pulled in too many directions. They felt frustrated and stressed out. 😫
A) I love that this human was brave enough to speak up. B) they came to the table with proposed solutions!!! 3 of us hopped on 30 minute call and used a SIMPLE and effective practice, we completely turned it around. 🎉🔥 I just went LIVE here in IG 👆🏼 with details on the story, strategy and how you can do this in your business. Whether you are the boss or you work within a team — THIS works.
Go watch it now (it’s in my IG stories for the next 24 hrs!) 👍🏼 and TURN ON IG notifications so you don’t miss the next live check-in 🥰

Starting a business is hard. Scaling a business is even HARDER.
While there is no “right” or “wrong” way to scale a business we can all agree that avoiding the potholes along the journey is a must.
Lucky for you I’ve hit EVERY SINGLE ONE of them from mismanaging my taxes (that one hurt!) to not having the right advisors, and I’ve partnered with @office to unveil all of my biggest learning lessons into one article that I’m calling… you guessed it… 5 Costly Mistakes to Avoid When Scaling a Business. I really stretched on the title. 😉
What is the biggest mistake YOU’VE made in starting and growing your business? I’m curious if it’s the same as mine!
Ps. Head to the link in my bio to check out the article! 🎉 #sponsored#microsoft365
FranklinCovey Leadership Tip of the day:
Whether it's your friends or your coworkers, don't let favoritism come into play. It can make everyone else feel unappreciated and unimportant.
You don't have to treat everyone exactly the same—in fact, we recommend not doing that—but be aware of who is getting more praise, more hours, more professional development, and who is getting the short end of the stick.
How does it feel when you are acknowledged for your work? How does it feel when your work is ignored or attributed to someone else?

Stop trying to move it with force, when it requires faith. The mountain will move if you use the right tools. I’m learning that one of the differences between good leaders and great leaders, is their ability to use the right tools to get the job done. Use your faith!! #faithmovesmountains#faiththoughts#leadingbyfaith

👉🏻So on average now I am having to trending posts per week on LinkedIn. 👉🏻How does this happen? 👉🏻I get asked this question all the time and I want to give you three tips on how to impact your network in a more productive and meaningful way.
1. Make sure that you do “how to” and tip videos at least once a week that give your network some tangible takeaways of how they can improve their life or business.
2. Use 5 to 15 hashtags that relate to the content that you’re speaking on so it attracts the right people to your content.
3. Make sure that you have a “CTA”, a call to action in your content and or your video to engage with your audience. 👉🏻How are you to know what they’re thinking and how they’re feeling without you asking? 👉🏻Always remember questions lead to answers. 👉🏻So I want to hear from you...... 🤔What is something about Linkedin that you are struggling with that you seek improvement on where I can provide a tool and resource videos on to help?
DEVELOPMENT TIP #20
KEEP YOUR WORD
If you truly desire to move up in the world no matter what it may be the one thing you need to do is to keep your word.
If you tell someone that you will do something and don't follow through you begin to lose credibility with people and that means less options.
Keep your word with people and you will be amazed at the doors that will be opened up for you.
There are very few people in the world today that are willing keep their word and because of this you will stand out like a sore thumb in a really good way.
The word on the streets is that good help is hard to find and a big part of being a good help is keeping your word.

“That was a lesson for me. Men also face cultural obstacles in the workforce that keep them from being who they are. So anytime women can be ourselves at work, we are improving the culture for both men and women.
And that is how I turned things around for myself at Microsoft. Being myself and finding my voice with the help of peers, mentors, and role models.
Being yourself sounds like a saccharine prescription for how to make it in an aggressive culture, but it’s not as sweet as it sounds. It means not acting in a way that is false just to fit in. It’s expressing your talents, value and opinions in your style, defending your rights and never sacrificing your self respect. THAT is power.“
Let that one sink in.
You have the power – it comes from being yourself and supporting others as they strive to do the same.⚡️As you finish this week, will you embody your power?
Thank you for the inspiration, @melindafrenchgates. 🙌🏼

A not-so-fun moment on this throwback thursday... 👇
I’ll never forget my biggest failure.
Back in 2006, I was the Coordinator of Basketball Operations for Marquette University. 🏀
Coach Tom Crean asked me to present an award to one of our players, Joe Chapman, at our banquet.
I was terrified. Little did Coach Crean know, speaking in front of a large group was something I really disliked doing.
I sorted through the VHS archives and found the presentation from prior years. I memorized word for word on how the award was presented (not the best plan, I know). The night of the ceremony arrived and I was STILL frightened. I had pigeons in my chest, not butterflies.
While on stage, I froze and forgot everything. I wanted to crawl into a hole and never be seen again.
One week passed before Coach Crean said anything to me. I suppose he didn’t want to pour salt in an open wound.
I will never forget what he said to me 👇 “You can choose the easy road or the hard road. You can choose the easy road and never confront groups ever again and never fulfill your dream. That easy road will probably be an unfulfilling road. Or, you could take the hard road, confront groups, get in front of a crowd, do it afraid, and overcome it.” What was your biggest professional failure like and how did you overcome it?
