I am now accepting grad cap orders for the class of 2020. If you haven’t had luck finding an artist, I am available👍🏼 Whether or not your ceremony has been postponed, you should still get to have a lasting piece of art to represent your academic accomplishments. All grad cap details are on my website linked in my bio🎨

Starting a new sketch a day project.
Everyday (as best I can) in my stories will be a new lime. Maybe markers, color pencils, mixed media, and paints, etc. I’ll post some here.
Limes have great cultural significance to me and it hasn’t been easy accepting myself fully. Nopales (cactus/cacti) will also be featured. Kind of are in the zentangle.
Today I did not sketch. Lots of stuff happening. Letting go of a lot and doing deep emotional/spiritual work. It was rough, but we’re still swinging and singing. Still selling these fake doors.
I hope y’all are safe during these tough times 🧡My new quarantine life has taught me to take things slowly & appreciate what life has given me so far. Things like baking, playing animal crossing & cuddling with my furry babies have brought me great joy lately. Tho productivity is cool, self-care is a priority for me these days :) .
Oh snap! It’s the
JOY REVOLUTION trailer!
Repost from @joyrevolutionpodcast
Gabby Rivera's Joy Revolution - the podcast that asks “How do you prioritize JOY?” Because we were meant the thrive, not just survive.
Joy Revolution brings Gabby Rivera and her favorite revolutionary humans together to honor joy in a chaotic world.
As a writer and speaker who focuses on queer Latinx joy, Gabby knows how vital it is to share our experiences and best practices in order to build that healing, abundant joy.
And who better to be in conversation with than people whose very existences push against the chaos and uplift their communities.
In this new podcast, Gabby asks how folks are rooting joy in their work, personal and spiritual lives. The goal? To share all that good bouncy healing revolutionary joy with all the humans who need it most. i.e. every single one of us.

@unx_art: Thought I’d share a few pieces that I’m proud of. Some have meanings to them, others of course don’t. I tend to just put most of my emotions into my art as I go along with most pieces. Medium wise I have always been drawn to traditional ink/pencil, during my senior year of high school I fell in love with oil, gouache, and acrylic painting, and now into 2020 I am starting digital art! More to come on that!❤️😉 #art#artist#lunatakeover#artistoninstagram#local#latinxartist#portraits#milwaukee#mke#lunaofficial
Here’s me looking at the person behind the lens and my favorite human of all time, @jakeaferr 🖤 Thank you for another year of love and support. You mean everything to me, and I can’t wait to grow old with you. Happy Anniversary, Jake. You make my heart melt🌹

The #wiawfh prompt today was “Pajamas aren’t work clothes” and to that I say: fight me
Hope you all are coping the best you can, staying safe and healthy during this global pandemic.
If you’re like me and need to keep your hands busy while quarantined, please consider becoming a patron for @cutiesla (Patreon link in their bio) and unlock 3 pages of my very own original drawings to color! You’ll be supporting a very important small business that centers itself around uplifting lgbtq+ bipoc and non-binary poc like myself.

Vejigante mask, inspired by the art students art project ☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️

Hope everyone is having a good Monday! Here’s a study I did of the Journalism Building from campus! I couldn’t tell you why because I’ve never stepped foot inside, but for some reason it’s one of my favorite buildings. 💜💛🏛
I'm not sure exactly what it is about watercolor that I love, but it's probably my favorite traditional medium.
If you do art, what's your favorite medium?

Originally from Mexico, Adriana Kin Romero (@mikinesfera) is a trans woman whose art often depicts Latinx activism. Through Instagram, Romero has recently begun sharing her other works that include queer Latinx culture alongside Catholicism. For this piece, Latina trans women of different backgrounds unite to call for more inclusion and better representation.
Cloth masks stop you from spreading germs to others! It's simple as that. 😷This is especially important since we know you can be virus+ 🦠and have ZERO symptoms, spreading it through the air you breathe. That's what makes this virus scary - it's very contagious 😞Have a mask ready to wear when you're not able to stay 6 feet away from others (people, not squirrels!) like in a crowded park or gorcery store. Note these are NOT disposable masks - hospitals are short on PPE and need those! They are washable, resuable cloth. You can make them from anything. I made some for the wifey and I from old T-Shirts! The CDC website has a whole bunch of ways to make your own. Check them out! Together we can stop the spread and save lives 💪🏽😷💪🏽😷💪🏽
Also know that the new CDC guidelines are consistent with what we already know about loose masks (see my previous post all about mask wearing)

Reposting “Manifesting Within”
Because I’ve finally sold her and it’s hard for me to part with it lol
This self portrait was the first that indicated to me that I was doing something right.
Ya know how each time you do something it gets better.. but there’s one project in particular that stands out as the turning point? This was it. So delicate and raw and perfect.
Thank you @angelasquidward for always supporting me, I know you’ll give her a good home.💫❤️
MUSE MONDAY🌸 Frida. The continual source of awe and pride this goddess inspires is unending.
Friday's trailblazing ways defied gender roles and stereotypes before it was cool or a movement. And the fact that she did so in Mexico, a society with *strong gender roles* highlights that she lived bravely and freely – a true #chingona.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
For me, Frida's life is a testament to the immense possibilities that are available to all of us (but especially women) if we choose to live courageously, in spite of fear 🔮
