Feeling refreshed after spending the past few days in this beautiful space surrounded by so many talented people at @theschoolofstyling at @mcalisterleftwich!
Being a creative entrepreneur is no easy feat & we are so grateful for the opportunity to not only share our experiences from 18 years in business, but also to soak up so much inspiration from those around us. Having a support system of fellow entrepreneurs is simply priceless.

To get rich never risk your health. For it is the truth that health is the wealth of wealth. Working out to me is my therapy & healing, my mental has to be 💯 I truly need this! What I think, say, and feel has to be right within! Just because you look good on the outside if your mental isn't right you won't be either! Period! 💪🏽
💀MY SECRET TO MANAGING INSTAGRAM?⠀
I've got a system for waking up, cooking for the week (only takes me 2.5 hours), and most definitely for being on the 'gram.⠀
Man- systems are everything to me. #truth⠀
If anyone gets feeling like they spend their life on IG- it's me. TRUST.⠀
So.... I systemize it. 👊⠀
I do not allow myself to be mindlessly scroll. EVER.⠀
If I find myself checking my phone while standing in line at the grocery store, sitting on the couch with Baby Violet, or even waiting for my food at a restaurant... I ask myself:⠀
✖️Am I creating content?⠀
✖️Am I leaving INTENTIONAL comments to create real connections to build my online community?⠀
If the answer is NO- I get the hell off 🔥⠀
That's my secret to NOT feeling like I spend all my time on IG. I simply don't. 🙌⠀
Otherwise it can easily take over your life.⠀
Make the time that you're on COUNT. And if you're not.. than get the hell off and enjoy that life you work so hard for 😉⠀

How Often You Should Be Engaging on the 'Gram📱
Engagement is essential for not only growing your community, but keeping them around as well.🤝
I have found the most amazing friends, mentors, and clients through engagement!👯♀️
I suggest that you engage when you are in a good mood. If your head ins't in a good space, then your responses won't be authentic and engagement will become a chore to you!😃
Here's my engagement method (be sure to hit that bookmark to save this for later!) ⤵️
✅ Do it in a chuck of time or throughout the day for 30 to 60 minutes.
✅ Don't feel the need to always be engaging. Only exceed 60 minutes if it's fun for you!
✅ Respond to all of your DMs and comments.
✅ Respond to other's stories and engage in their polls.
✅ Comment on posts in your feed.
✅ Comment on posts within niche hashtags or geotags.
✅ Engage with others around the time you post for 10 - 15 minutes for a post "boost".
✅ Respond back to comments with a question.
And that's that! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Bonus tip - ONLY comment on posts that you truly resonate with or learn from. Remember, be authentic and then this won't be a chore.🙌🏼
You have to give to receive, so engage everyday!

Today I launched my very first online course.
But it's totally not about me.
It's about providing access to women all around Australia and in fact the world, to the information and insight that others have you gained at the Break the Taboo: Thrive in Perimenopause and Menopause workshop.
But Katische, I'm not in perimenopause yet. I'm not old enough.
Sure, I understand, but if you are over 35, your body will go through major emotional and physical changes due to the changes in the production of your sex hormones at a time that it chooses. It might be when you are 50 or it might be like me, 43. You just don't know, and I truly believe that it is important to know about your body.
Your parents told you about sex a long time before you ever experienced it first hand. Well, at least they gave you a copy of "Where did I come from" or some other form of a brochure.
If you know what perimenopause is; when it can be expected to start; and the difference between perimenopause and menopause, then you are more educated about the subject than most women on the planet. Scary right?
Personally, I think the modules on sex and creating a life you love are worth the price alone- for any woman over 35.
One for my self-employed queens. The media has crammed the term self-care into a neat sparkly box and slapped some face masks and wine in it. Fuck that. That is superficial self care. Sure, it still is important to treat yourself in the little ways, but real self care is holding yourself accountable, prioritising yourself, setting yourself boundaries, and letting yourself grow. Self care is messy and ugly and trial and error. Self care when you’re self employed is so important. I think that being self-employed can be difficult for a number of reasons - firstly you put a huge amount of pressure on yourself. Being your own boss is great and all, but make sure you’re a cool, kind boss. Sometimes we are our own worst critic (I know I am). The most challenging things for me are to be easy and kind on myself when something doesn’t go to plan or I don’t see as much success as I’d like in a certain week, and also learning to be assertive and say no to shitty clients who don’t value your work and worth. But I’m recognising that and actively working on it. The other difficult aspect is that a lot of people just honestly don’t get it... they either think “neat! You just get to stay at home all day in your Pajamas! Ugh I’m sooo jealous”, or they think you should get a “real job”, or maybe they look at you behind worried eyes and say “are you sure you want to risk this? What if you can’t make enough? Is it secure?”. Today babe, don’t doubt yourself. Don’t let other people’s doubt sink into your skin. Don’t be a shitty boss to YOURSELF. And don’t bother trying to convince the people who don’t believe in you that you can do it - just leave them behind in the dirt and show them. Bitches build empires. 👑 ps. This is also written to @the_Femnation cause I need to fucking apply my own advice to me. #selfemployedwomen#femaleentrepreneur#businesswomen#girlboss#selfcareforselfemployed#selfcarefortherealworld
