One finger mugs. Some people love them, some can’t stand them. I’ve been making these for about 10 years with little evolution. They are so much different then a handle you just tear off since they require an actual finish to the end.
To get them just so, I extrude a coil and cut it to 1& 7/8”. When I began making them they were two inches but after my technique became more refined I reduced it by an 1/8”. It made a huge difference. ✌️

I spent a little time today photographing work to put on my Etsy sight. I have had some requests for my larger work so here is the first large piece to go on my site. The link is in my bio. I will be photographing tomorrow as well and will add more work. This piece is $2200 and includes shipping anywhere in the 48 states. Etsy hasn’t quite figured out how to accommodate large items so if you are outside of this area and want this piece I will work with you. ✌️
And here’s a swamp mug, originally commissioned by @anitalea59 ... Not sure if she’s still around (every commission will have to search for its rightful owner after my moving hiatus), but it was a really fun project! The rest of the flowers and cattails will be painted on with underglazes and lusters. #taniagoldberg#ceramics#fineart#marshes#porcelain
Tiny cats, these little sets are something l can see myself selling just from my sight in the near future, lm thinking small, easy to post, keeping it to local to start with so l don't scare myself too much, being a mama for 9 years now and getting older has made me a bit lazy or maybe fearful of trying new things, slowly slowly #australianceramics #ceramics#keramic#earthenware#raffia#catsculpture
