SAVING MONEY on INTERVIEWS: Anybody who has been to an interview knows it's an expensive process: flights, suits, hotels...this all adds up! Having done many interviews, here's how I save money:⠀
✈️ FLIGHTS: If you are doing a trail of interviews, booking a round trip or a multi-destination flight is cheaper than booking separately. Use a travel credit card to collect points and use those points on subsequent flights. If you're a student, google 'Student Pass' and the airline company for a multi-flight package deal.⠀
👔 SUITS: Unpopular opinion.. but as a woman, I check out men's stores to invest in a suit. Mens stores will do custom dress shirt and suit fitting, monogram your shirt sleeve/suit (for free), and offer a bigger selection of fabrics, sleeve and collar styles...all for the same price as a woman's suit at the typical women's career clothing stores. ⠀
🏨 HOSTELS: Generally cheaper than hotels, you can get your own room with the bare essentials...nothing too fancy, after all you're only there to prepare and sleep.⠀
PS: Yes I know how to tie a tie (but not a bowtie) and yes I think ties look pretty badass on women too 😉⠀
💁🏻♀️Do you have any tips on how to save money for interviews? Let me know! #interviewoutfit#pinktie

Well duuuuuuur! We all want to be able to buy cocktails, eat out and buy new garms. 🛍 But, “Why do you want to work for us?” is an important and commonly asked question in an interview - and on the spot it can leave you flummoxed. So, remember these 3 things:
1. Get specific about the brand. Think back to a specific collection, article, magazine spread, fashion show, article on the website, Insta campaign - and tell them why YOU love it and how it relates to you and your skill set. The more detail you give the better! This also highlights the importance of doing thorough research on the brand before any interview.
2. Company Culture. What do you love about the way the brand works and how they treat their employees? Specifically this could be: how they treat their interns or their brand values such as championing sustainability.
3. Who do you love and respect at the brand? Maybe it’s an editor or a specific designer. Telling them that you admire an employee or the founder of the brand, shows them that you have done your research and that you want to be part of the team.

Situational Interview Questions And Answers
#interviewtips #jobsearch #jobinterviewpic.twitter.com/3O6hCCppyE

WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST WEAKNESS?
Don’t answer that question with “I am a perfectionist”. It is a cliche, old and boring answer which most recruiters don’t believe. “I don’t know” is not a good answer either. So, how do you answer this question?
Try to formulate the answer following this formula: “I had some difficulties with …..but I have taken steps to improve it”. For example, “I had difficulties with organizing my time effectively, but I attended time management courses and my results have improved drastically.” Let’s practice in comments :) #jgv#trickyinterviewquestions#jobsgoneviral#interviewtips#weakness#jobsincyprus

Welcome to interview season. May the odds be ever in your favor 👏🏼
LOL jk you’ll be fine. And to make sure I’ve compiled a list of my top tips for vet school/professional school interviews.
• Wear something that makes you feel like a million bucks. Confidence is key, and feeling confident in the way you look might seem silly, but it can make a huge difference to your entire demeanor during your interview.
• Don’t let the first time you visit the school be the day of the interview. Take a drive by the day before, figure out the parking situation, find the elevators, know where you’re going. The day will be stressful as it is, so eliminate as much of the unknown as possible prior to.
• Ask questions! They’re not just interviewing you, you’re interviewing them! Be sure you ask questions that will ensure they’re the best fit for your life over the next few years.
• Engage with current students, and listen to their interview experience. Each school’s process is unique, and getting a feel for what you’re walking into will make you much more comfortable when stepping into the interview “ring”
• Do your homework 👏🏼 dig into the hot topics and ethical dilemmas currently plaguing the field you’re interviewing for. For vet students that could be convenient euthanasia or antibiotics in food animals.
• Lastly, be honest and be yourself. There is no right answer and the interviewers want to get to know you! Don’t try to answer things with what you think they want to hear. Be genuine, be yourself, and the right school will open itself up to you.
What is your favorite piece of interview advice, OR worst interview you’ve ever experienced? 👇🏼

1. What’s the salary?
It’s certainly not advisable to reach the point of considering a job offer without knowing how much you’d be earning, but if you do find yourself in this situation be sure to confirm the salary before you say yes.
2. Are there flexible working options?
Flexible working can be a great perk if it’s available to you, and depending on your lifestyle or family circumstances, not having the option to work from home may be a deal breaker.
3. What’s the team structure?
It’s useful to know the size of your team, who you’ll be working with and where your role sits within the team and wider company before you start a new job.
4. How would you describe the culture?
Of course if they have a positive and encouraging workplace culture they’ll be eager to tell you all about it. On the flip side if there is generally bad feeling among their employees it’s likely that the hiring manager will gloss over the truth about how things really are, therefore you never really know if you’re getting an honest answer to your question.
5. How did the position come about?
Do you know if the position you’re interviewing for has been newly created or if it’s an existing role that’s recently become vacant? If it’s a new role it means you have an opportunity to make it your own and show the organisation why it’s needed and why you’re the best person to fulfil it.
6. What has the turnover been within the role previously?
Some roles are controversial because they haven’t been able to retain someone in the post for a reasonable amount of time. For example, if the last three people to take on the role were all with the organisation for less than six months, it’s a major red flag.
7. Is there potential for me to grow within the company?
If you’re ambitious and have plans to advance your career, you need to be confident that you’re not about to join a company that can’t offer you the chance to progress and work your way up the ladder.

OT School Interview General Tips (3rd pic🤣)
Circa back to November 15, 2013!! That’s the day I interviewed for occupational therapy school with one of my very best friends @ashtonlingo ! Seems so long yet also not that long ago. I was a junior in undergrad trying to figure out if it was even going to be remotely possible for me to 1) apply for the advanced undergrad program (ie start OT graduate school during my fourth year - traditional senior year- of undergrad while fulfilling my responsibilities and travel / practice demands as a Division 1 athlete for the University’s Track and Cross Country Team 2) be accepted. Fortunately for me both my coaches and then professors believed in me which led me down a path I’m so grateful for!! For those of you new followers, I went to USA for undergrad and OT grad school. I met my husband James the second day of freshman year in bio lab (nothing happened for two years ). We got married and I moved to Auburn where I worked in an acute rehab hospital setting while he finished med school there. By the Lord’s design he matched at USA for his IM residency and this sumner we came back to the city that is home... and full of opportunities!!
Anyways, General Tips include:
~Arrive 30 minutes early. Be prepared for traffic. Know where you are supposed to park. ~Wear modest, professional dress. Stay away from very bright colors. Allow the interviewers remember you by your presence not by your apparel. ~Research the school you are applying to. Visit their website. What makes their program unique?Learn about their faculty by browsing the school page. Have a rough understanding of their fieldwork site system. ~Smile. Be friendly. Make eye contact. Be adaptive to questions that make you think on the spot. Think about ethical dilemma situations and your critical thinking process. ~Reflect on your shadowing experience. Can you describe an event or situation that came up in your shadowing where you learned something valuable. ~Be ready to define OT on your own words. What makes you think this is your calling? ~Browse (continued in comments) 🌻SHARE YOUR BEST TIPS👇🏼👇🏼

Here are some tips on how you can ace that next phone interview!
Tip 4 - Pauses and Enunciation. A desire to prove yourself, coupled with the stress of a phone interview, could make you speak too quickly. Take a breath before each answer, and add pauses in between your thoughts. Enunciate so that the interviewer can hear what you are saying.
