On a journey to capture the world! With @johnmwu / "My name is John Wu and I am a travel and street photographer based in Los Angeles, California, on a journey to capture the world through my lens.
When I was eight years old, my uncle handed me a camera to hold on a trip to New Mexico. It was the first time I ever snapped a photograph. However, it wasn’t until a trip to Vietnam with friends that both traveling and photography became intoxicating! I hadn’t picked up a camera again until that trip, but when the beautiful landscapes and cultural differences left me speechless, my camera helped supply the words I was unable to say.
It’s a surreal feeling being in a constant state of awe and traveling feeds my innate curiosity about the world. I feel compelled to explore the unknown and to embrace new opportunities. Moments are fleeting, but photos are immortal!
When I’m sharing a photograph, I believe it’s more than just a picture, it’s a collection of beautiful coincidences that lead to the creation of that moment. I share these moments with people all over the world and it's like they're sharing these experiences with me.
My reasons to continue pursuing photography include being able to see the world while documenting life (the good and the bad) and to find and express myself through this art and my work. I may come across new reasons through my travels but one reason stays certain; to share with the world what the world has shared with me.
Moments are worth capturing so I believe they don’t need to be changed nor experienced again. I’m focused on the present so the perfect photo never slips away. Life is about having the courage to face the unknown and I believe going back in time spoils the memories carried with you. Sometimes you just have to take a leap of faith and make waves. You never know where you’ll land!" Special greetings to @johnmwu for sharing these amazing views with us!

Make each day your masterpiece! With @nickheinimann.photography / "I have always loved traveling and experiencing new places, new cultures and meeting people from different walks of life. I would not exactly say I have a passion for traveling - it is more like a constant need and desire to explore places and experience new things. I love not having a plan and just going where the day takes me and going off that paved road or the unknown path.
As a child I have always been interested and intrigued with cameras and would take photos on family trips. Since then photography has pretty much just become an addiction. Everywhere I go I feel the need to take photos to document all the sites I have visited so that when I am old and grumpy I can look back at them and reminisce on the memories.
So, I love capturing content and for me creating photographs, is a way of showing other people the beauty of this world. Not everyone is fortunate to travel so through my photos I want people to feel like they are there and that they have seen the place, so I try to convey a story and feeling of togetherness.
I believe that the most important thing when it comes to visual story telling is conveying emotion, being able to convey and make the person looking at your photo feel like he/she is actually there or make them feel some form of sentiment. Thus, if I think about the emotions I try to convey with my photography it would be happiness, wanderlust, and inspiration.
I am so grateful and fortunate to be able to travel around the world and photograph the worlds most beautiful places as a means of work. So the need and desire to keep exploring and keep shooting will always be there! I am always trying to better myself in the art of photography and capture photos which are better than my last.
There are so many incredible places still to explore and so many bucket shot photos that I want and need to capture. So I guess as long as the desire and hunger is alive I will continue to keep shooting and exploring! And remember, make each day your masterpiece!” Special greetings to @nickheinimann.photography for sharing these wonderful photographs with us! #nomadict
