Didn’t think that yesterday’s post would be such a hit after sharing some truths behind a perfect « post » ! I got so many requests to share more of what goes behind the scenes and because I feel socially responsible to the young generation following me and contributing (in a small part) to them having unrealistic unattainable expectations about life, traveling and work.
I decided that every now and then I would share the story #BehindThePerfectPost and remind everyone that my life (and everyone else in here) is truly not perfect. Perfect does not exist.
For this post, I can have one or two sentences, like; “Having a Parisian dinner at stunning Coco restaurant in Paris”! But truth of the matter is, yes we were having dinner at this restaurant but it wasn’t on this table, it was outside and it was super cold and super crowded for a picture.
We went inside to check out the place and found this empty table. We started taking pictures, but after few seconds we had the waiter come to tell us that we cannot take pictures while guests are having dinner.
We shook our heads in consent and I gave my photographer Anastasiia a look that she understood (because this was the gazillionth time it happened to us). I gave her the look of, take it, take the image quickly, quickly quickly!! And she did! And it turned out good enough for my feed!
So this was maybe a near perfect moment between my friend and I, feeling like we have conquered the situation together! But it was a far from perfect “dinner picture”.
Ps: I took the braised chicken plate that evening and it was really bad.
Let me know if this has happened to you! And if you have perfect images with less perfect stories behind them, use this hashtag #BehindThePerfectPost! Let’s all be kind here and show the real side of our human life.
Apologies for the poor lighting in my full length fashion photo collage this morning, but as you can see there was just zero sunlight coming into my front room this morning due to the very ominous cloud cover. It was a dunkin iced coffee morning for me...I was a little disappointed they were out of large cups though😐.
Anywho...my #ootd is way brighter than the weather calls for today but it's supposed to be 100 degrees today and thats without the heat index. Im not looking forward to trying to breathe out there later when the humidity from all the rain decides to make it unbearable. Thankfully I have reliable a/c.
I knew the heat was going to suck today so i dressed accordingly in my mustard print capri's from TJ Maxx and a light ribbed tank too with this pretty and colorful hummingbird print from walmart. I debated wearing a heavier long sleeve cardigan because it tends to get cold in my office but went for this electric blue short sleeve shrug I was gifted by my mom since it was just a brighter color to suit the summery vibe. My Chase & chloe retro T strap pumps from Amazon give this outfit the little rockabilly detail that kicks it into my comfort zone. I accessorized with some dangly cute silver and pale green butterfly earrings, a couple beaded bangles, my dainty silver moon phases necklace, and a bright yellow/orange eyeshadow and nude lip to keep it light.
Hopefully this ominous looking sky is not a prelude to tornado weather. Eeps.
