Should you focus on the weighing scale?
NO - it is ONE of the parameters but not the only one.
At 27, before my wedding ,I did many diets & my weight was the same as it is now at 37.
At my wedding i was at ideal BMI (a near useless measure) & I would have said I just want to lose a little on my face. Unfortunately it doesnt work like that. I needed to lose all the extra fat, from everywhere.
These pictures are 10 years apart !!! The difference
1. Food : more whole grains and whole foods. Fresh vegetables, fruits & lean proteins
2. Exercise & being active daily
This has helped me lose fat & gain lean muscle mass to give me a "toned" look. Muscle takes up less space than fat. Think of the 1kg weight they put on older weighing scales. It would fit in your hand.
Now think of 1kg of cotton ... this will take up a lot of space.
Muscle is like the metal & fat like the cotton. The more fat you have the fluffier & puffier you look. Muscle is more dense than fat and takes up a lot less space than fat.
I have lost fat & gained muscle. While my weight is nearly the same my measurements & pictures tell a very different story. I follow this on my programs too.
Ideally don't take your weight every day. It will fluctuate. I'm 2kgs heavier at night & about 2kgs heavier before my cycle. Look at measurements & weight over a longer period of time. Stop trying to lose weight fast or for any occasion. If you start with that, you're setting yourself up for failure.
Everytime someone asks me about skin, hair, toning, flat stomach, face fat ... the answer will be the same ... focus on your health & everything else will fall into place .
I will turn 37 day after & my goal is to be the fittest I've ever been by 40.
This does not come with dieting or fad diets or quick solutions. There are no short cuts. It will require me to stick to the changes I’ve made to my life and follow them consistently. I want to be healthy & fit forever & not just for the season.
To get started follow the tips in my daily stories.

MOTIVATION - anyone in the fitness community will tell you that looking for motivation is like looking for a needle in a haystack in a tornado. At the beginning of my journey I couldn’t and even today I sometimes can’t count on motivation. I am always more motivated to eat out than to make my meals at home everyday. I’m really motivated to eat a mountain of fries, but I have to remind myself to eat a fruit everyday. I’m extremely motivated to spend hours on YouTube in the evenings, but I’ll be the first person to say, ”Oh well. guess I’ll just go to the gym tomorrow.” 🌸 Why? Because it’s fun. It’s easy. It’s indulgent. It takes zero effort. In the early stages and even now, working out and eating clean is literally the opposite of fun, easy and indulgent. It takes a massive effort and commitment to plan your meals, eat well, and prioritise your workouts before everything else in the day. It takes so much hard work to make time for your health everyday. You might even start one fine day, because you felt motivated by something you read or saw, but soon you’ll run out of motivation and you’ll be back to feeling the weight of the commitment it’s going to take to make progress. Your body will ache all over, you’ll be hungry all the time, you might want to breakdown often, or consider bailing every single day. 🌸 So how does one push through it all? Discipline. Personally, I realised that if I sit around waiting for a feeling like motivation to strike, it was just never going to happen. At 110 kgs, with asthma, joint pains, sleep apnea, anxiety, a career going south and heartbreak like I’d never experienced before, if I didn’t discipline myself to do it, it would never happen. 🌸 So yes, discipline > motivation. You have to remind yourself of all the reasons why you need to do it. There’s only you and your personal strength to discipline yourself to make a change. And when you do decide to discipline yourself, the results will come and how! The only thing that is delaying your amazing transformation is the discipline to plan the rest of your life around your meal timings and workout schedule, rather than the other way around.

To all yoga teachers
People come to us with a hope to reduce weight, to look good or in case they have been advised by a doctor. We give our heart and soul just to make them what they really want to be. We give them more than what they expected a healthy lifestyle, positive thinking, we listen to their "I can't do it more than 10 times", we push them through their limits and a lot of them love us back. It becomes more than a business.
Meanwhile, we think every possible way to heal them not only physically but emotionally. We see the transformation and gives us peace.
In this journey you will come across many type of people. The one who will respect your work and others who will not. You may have to leave certain people just because their vibes are not something you don't want in your life.
Learn to say NO to the people who refuse to understand that this is the way you earn your livelihood.
I don't and can't work with such people. People need to understand that if doctor is the cure we are the precaution they need. They are may be ready to spend lakhs on their sickness but not a few thousands to stay away from that. Trust me a lot of us could have been making countless money at some other place if we would not have heard our heart.
RESPECT OUR WORK
The case may vary with everyone's personal experiences.
Bloating is a B*tch. Who agrees!?
You have a night out and you want to wear a nice fitted dress or dress shirt, but your stomach feels swollen and you feel so uncomfortable that you don’t even want to go out.
Who’s felt that way!? It sucks! 😰A lot of the times it’s due to interferences in our digestive system (fluid retention, excess gas build up, IBS, etc) and oh of course, when it’s the “time of the month” for us ladies 🙄.
For example, in the case of digestion, overtime our bodies can build intolerances to foods - ie. gluten, dairy, grains, and random things like apples, honey, lentils, etc. For me, my tummy does not like oats, some dairy products, and too many chickpeas😅. Growing up I could eat all of that and had no issue, but then I got struck with food sensitivities in my 20s.
There are a few things my clients and I practice to have a happier gut health:
1. Speaking to your doctor about it
2. Incorporating a probiotic/fermented foods
3. Elimination diets (remove certain food(s) for period of time)
4. Taking greens with digestive enzymes (Opti Greens has become a staple for myself and clients. It’s my ride or die supplement)
5. Bone broth
Start with one thing and don’t overwhelm yourself by trying out everything at once. Just like with anything you want to succeed in, patience and consistency will be key 🔑 Here’s to taking care of our health, inside and out ♥️.
One from Sculpt3D 😈 (Shoot was done in June and now it’s October) 4 months apart and I am still maintaining my condition. These 4 months included long US travel of 2 months, eyeballing my portions, indulging in my fav food ‘occasionally’, shoulder injury still recovering, long working hours and consistent workout.
Isn’t this what we all try to achieve in our day to day life?
