Cross Counrry Raw on Mr Minstrel himself🤩
This was officially 1 year ago😶. Because of the corona virus 🦠, I can’t go away or ride either horse which is just great, 👍🏻 I haven’t ridden in 2 weeks which is very much killing me, I’m doing art homework right now and I can’t even begin to explain how depressed I feel😢. Mini was such a good boy this day and honestly I miss him so much🥺. I haven’t really got much to say apart from thank you so much for 3.6 thousand followers, that’s like INSANE🙈😭. I have piles of homework and I’m honestly sad😤😔. Also, just to annoy @eq.emma.343 and @xo.alice.w.xo I’m buying the fluffy brushing boots, cuz why not and I’m ye I might need them like next year😏. I am so proud of @murrayandsawyer for her incredible work over the last few months! She has gotten so much stronger, more balanced, and overall much more confident in her riding ability. I have loved watching her and her boy, Brit, blossom as a team! Can’t wait to see what else the future holds for these two. #RBE#redbirdequestrian
🇬🇧 Its my birthday! 💃 had a really fun morning and went to Freddie this morning. He was really fun to ride. No gripping the bit, no running away. Just a fun mellow ride I really needed xD while riding he started to huf and puf again. Finally relaxing myself.
Q: what is your biggest dream?
A: getting Freddie in a trailer and show him he does not have to be afraid once more. .
🇳🇱 Its my birthday!
Q: Wat is jou grootste droom?
A: Om Freddie eindelijk over zijn trailer trauma heen te krijgen en te laten zien dat het oke is. .
Many of us want to be successful. We want to do good...but one thing I’ve noticed amongst people striving to reach great achievement is their unwillingness to change who they are.....
If you want “level 10” achievement, you must first be a “level 10” person.
People who believe they can obtain superb achievement, without changing themselves along the way, have been misguided. Who I was at 18, changed at 20. Who I was at 20 changed at 22. Who I was at 22 changed at 24, and I will most likely change again at 26.
This is why gargantuan success is so hard to achieve for so many people. The changes that have to be made, they’re personal...Getting personal hurts.....

Today on my chicken delivery I got to visit my old pony, Rocky! Before I ever got into cattle I used to horse back ride for years - I started at the age of 4 and went until 16 or so (I’m bad with remembering dates and ages). I rode english and showed competitively. Rocky was the second pony my parents bought for me and I honestly can’t even remember how old I was, maybe 12? He was sassy and stubborn - quite the personality! He didn’t like being loaded on a trailer or rode bareback... he did what he wanted! After I stopped horse back riding and got into the cattle, Rocky came back to our house for a little bit of time but eventually went back to the farm where I rode. Now 20 years young, he finally lets little kids ride around on him and is a great teacher.
It was so nice today to be able to see him again and how he’s doing♥️
“The more we aspire to live and fulfil our dreams, the more we inspire others to go and live theirs” - M. Fink
Right now we are restricted from physically getting out there and fulfilling our dreams. But there are no restrictions right now on setting the foundation for future dreams.
Now more than ever, a lot of us have more spare time than we know what to do with. Fill it with those dreams you’ve been too busy to chase. Write that book, plan that trip (for when this is all over), learn a language, get back into drawing, learn to code - whatever your dream, get after it. The time is now. We can’t invest in a lot of things at the moment, but we sure can invest in ourselves.
The affect this virus has had on the world is scary, and it’s likely we’ll keep seeing it’s effects long after the actual virus has run its course. It’s upended lives, ended lives and more than likely will be responsible for a couple of new ones here at the end of the year 💁♀️. But we can choose to be the victims of our situations or the victors.
Use this time to lay the foundation for achieving that dream. Because at the end of the day, you don’t regret the things you did. You regret the things you didn’t.

Yesterday was supposed to be 2 months leasing Orion but due to the coronavirus I’ve had to temporarily stop leasing🥺
I’m going to miss Orion and the barn so much. Thank you for everything you’ve taught me in the past 2 months and I can’t wait to continue our journey when this is all over❤️
Y’all I’ve had Z E R O motivation to workout since the gyms have closed & I’m having to workout at home. But I get up everyday and workout anyways.
My brain kept trying to trick me and say, “Ohhh just take a week off and then you’ll feel better and want to get back to it.” But I knew that was a death trap that I wasn’t going to fall for 🙄. I knew that the worst thing I could do was take some time off.
The thing about motivation is it’s always going to come and go. You’re not going to feel like doing anything 100% of the time. Even things you thoroughly enjoy will be challenging to do during certain phases.
DO THEM ANYWAYS.
If you don’t feel like working out today, do it anyways. Tell your brain you’ll take tomorrow off. Then repeat theses steps tomorrow.
Your brain is designed to keep you alive by conserving as much energy as possible. It doesn’t want you to do the hard things. It wants you to sit in one place, storing up the calories you’ve taken in, until inevitably a saber tooth tiger or apocalyptic storm forces you to move.
But following those survival instincts is a recipe for a really sad life.
Stop letting your brain trick you into being miserable.
I continue to workout 6 days a week over my time of zero motivation and yanno what? This week I feel more motivated then ever.
I absolutely crushed my workout and I feel 100x better. However, if I would’ve let my brain trick me into “taking some time off” I would be starting at ground zero right now.
I’m grateful that I’m extremely self aware and realize when something is not truly in my best interest, even when it’s my own brain trying to convince me.

in an era of stress and anxiety, when the present seems unstable and the future unlikely, the natural response is to retreat and withdraw from reality, taking recourse either in fantasies of the future or in modified visions of a half-imagined past.
Colin misses this so much.. he misses his friends... the horses he gets to ride... his instructor and side walkers ... but most of all Wayne..... valley.therapeutic #aldergrove#strength#horsebackriding #therapy… https://www.instagram.com/p/B-e0_mRHMbs/?igshid=1tml810y6flw2 …

Some things I wish I would’ve known when I was graduating high school...
It’s ok to not have your whole life figured out. Life changes by the second and no matter how much you plan, there’s twists and turns you could never have expected.
There are going to be things that feel devastating and heavy and too much to handle. You’ll look back on those things one day and realize they were simply putting you into the right place at the right time.
You might not get into the school you thought you were supposed to. You might not be able to get into the major you thought you would your whole life. You might not be setup to have the career you dreamed about since you were little but it’s for your own good. There are even more beautiful things in your future that you didn’t even know could be a part of your life.
You don’t have to go to every party, you don’t have to drink everyday, and you definitely don’t need some jerk in your life to have the best “college experience.” Just because your friends are going to a frat party, it doesn’t mean you’re any less of a human if you choose to stay home and study. It’s ok to think of your future. Yes, you only live once, but throwing your life away in college isn’t a great way to make the rest of your life beautiful.
You can stay close by home. You can miss your family. You can miss your old room, the comforts of home, and the way things were when you were younger. You can call your mom and tell her how your day was. You can cry and be scared of “growing up.” It’s that in between phase when you’re not quite a kid anymore but not yet an adult. It’s terrifying, exhilarating, overwhelming, and beautiful all at one time. Embrace this time in your life. You’ll look back and laugh at the things you thought were earth shattering and you’ll be grateful for every experience you went through.
Embrace the change but never be afraid to cling on to that little piece of your heart that is still just a kid 💛
