And relax....... with stu working now 1 in 5 Saturdays it means I have to have a Saturday off. For me this comes with #guilt because I’ve done 21 years (god I feel old)of #saturdaywork and it feels so weird to me to not work. I feel guilty on clients for saying I can’t work and I feel guilty on stu having to go in so we can have a better lifestyle! Tomorrow my lovely friends husband is going to do the football run so I haven’t even got to go out early. Now the question is do I use that time to clean clean clea or do I use that time to sit with a cuppa, my breakfast or even have a nice soak in the bath 🤔 the guilt is something I have to work on but at the mo I’m sat here enjoy @brotherscider#worklifebalance#homelifebalance#workingontheguilt#bankholidayweekend#bankholidayvibes#cider#parmaviolet#gems_positivity_project

Just a painter in her studio. Grateful. And because sometimes these type of photos give the appearance of a life that is much more glamorous than it is, here's the skinny: I've been rushing around all day running errands, stopping at the bank and local grocery and post office to ship paintings, went to a lunch meeting for my other job, and am now back with 1hr to spare and get some painting done while my awesome in home baby sitter is downstairs playing with the kids. I can hear them chatting and sometimes whining and asking for food or whatever it might be. I used to feel really tempted to run down and check every time I heard a cry and now I basically squeeze every last minute of solo time I can. She comes twice a week for 3 hours and it feels like a good balance for me right now. ✨

I wasn’t going to post this. Because truth is, I’ve had a real job for one day, and I already want to quit. .
Let’s just be real. I don’t care how many discussions, debates, or arguments there are, stay at home moms have it made. Don’t get me wrong, at one point I had 5 kids under 7, was breastfeeding two at the same time, was changing 27 diapers a day, had to somehow keep everyone fed, pay my bills, pay attention to my husband, try to have a social life.. .
Im not saying it’s easy, I’m just saying, you get to take naps. You get to stay in the house and not deal with people... let me repeat YOU DONT HAVE TO SEE PEOPLE! You don’t even have to get dressed if you don’t want to. .
Not only that, but you don’t have to worry about the outside pressure of bringing in income and being competent at a job. I started training today and I just wanted to curl up into a ball. .
Honestly, I might not make it. I don’t know if the stress of being away from home and trying to balance it all is worth it when I don’t really need the income. Sure extra money is nice, but I don’t know if it’s worth my sanity. .
So, I would like to publicly say, that all moms are super hero’s, but you working moms?!! Oh gracious there is a special place in heaven for you. And don’t even get me started on single moms. .
I would love all of the advice. Please share how you manage to keep it all together, because right now I’m in my bed in my robe eating cookies and decompressing from having to be around people all day, and still have to come home and be mommy. .
Let’s talk! How do you do it? What are your secrets?
REVA University School of Architecture organized a session on ‘How to do effective mentoring and achieving better home life balance’ for the faculty members on April 28th, 2019 at Abdul Kalam Hall at RISM block, REVA University. The session started with an introduction of faculty members stating their background and academic experience. Mr. Satyanarayana, Counsellor REVA University touched upon the importance of self, exercising and spending time doing an activity that brings joy and fulfillment and how to communicate better and break down mental blocks which tremendously improves interpersonal relationships. The session also focused on how to build a brand for yourself as a better teacher and how mentors should be more approachable through body language and choice of words.
