FOOD COMBINING FOR OPTIMAL DIGESTION❗️
Do you ever feel bloated or sluggish after a meal? Heavy, not able to move and drained of energy? By focusing on better food combining techniques you can improve your gut health and digestion to ease your bloat, and increase energy. Here are my 3 top tips👇🏼
1. EAT FRUIT ALONE ideally in the morning on an empty stomach. Fruit is a simple sugar that digests faster than any other foods. Combining fruit with cooked foods can cause it to ferment which leads to excessive gas and bloating.
2. PAIR PROTEIN W/NON-STARCHY VEGGIES because both digest differently in the body and the combination of both can slow down digestion which leads to fatigue and bloating.
3. DRINK WATER AWAY FROM MEALS because drinking large amounts of cold water with your meals can slow down digestion. Focus on drinking small sips of room temperature water with your meals, and support your digestive process by drinking a glass of lemon water 20 mins before a meal. Lemon helps stimulate digestion!🍋✨
When your body is balanced, and the digestive system is healthy and active, you can eat more combinations of food, unless you have major digestive issues like IBS. Listen to your body’s messages to find out what works best for you!

The truth about self love.
There are no “hacks” to get there.
It’s not an overnight process.
And really, it’s about committing to yourself and a practice which goes deeper than saying affirmations in the mirror every morning.
It’s about building a new foundation for yourself which is based on 3 main pillars 👇🏼
Can you forgive yourself for everything up until this very moment? Can you drop the guilt and shame you hold in your heart?
Because the truth is-your worth is innate. And nothing you’ve done, do, or will do can change that. Your past doesn’t determine who you can be in this moment.
So are you willing to let yourself off the hook and forgive yourself unconditionally?
Can you accept that you don’t need to be fixed? And while there may be areas you’d like to work on-can you approach those areas from a place of deserving more, rather than feeling like you lack something?
Because the truth is-you were made perfectly. Every detail about who you are was designed exactly as it is. No one in the world is like you and that’s where your value lies. You are enough, as you are.
So are you willing to accept yourself for all that you are and all that you aren’t?
Can you trust yourself? Can you trust your ability to honor your word and commitments?
Because the truth is-without this you have nothing. And the only way to build that trust is through diving in and holding yourself accountable.
So are you willing to trust that you know what to do and have the ability to make it happen?
It’s not about having these pillars mastered the first week, month or year of this process.
To be honest, I’m not sure this work ever really ends.
But all it takes to make a real beginning is the decision to love yourself enough to start.

Urban Bowl... I’m in the city eating at one of my favorites, after a very very long stressful day. My husband was in surgery for 8 hours today, but thankfully it went well. Staying nourished is so important. When our bodily experience stress it’s so easy to go for the immediate serotonin enhancing quick fix. When your body really needs is a hug of good food.
Lavender has QUICKLY become my favorite oil. Not only because it smells great but all the great benefits we can get from it too.
I’ve added it to my shampoo along with melaleuca (tea tree) oil In order to help with dandruff and the health of my hair as well.
And let’s not even mention how I can barley go to sleep without it.🙄 I don’t want to be an “oil believer” but MAN it’s sucking me in 😂
