This is ego work.
The above is my ego’s favorite story. A close tie with “I am not being considered” And, I can’t forget another one in heavy rotation: “I am alone and no one understands me.” These stories comes up over and over again for me.
The ego fears creativity. It fears authentic self expression. It’s too vulnerable. It feels unsafe.
As I show up in different ways, I honor these stories. I can feel my ego become involved and I use this practice because it validates the ego.
It doesn’t deny or repress. It also doesn’t resist.
This allows the ego to soften.
A softened ego is quieter.
I verbalize my ego stories a lot to my partner which can be a great practice to do with anyone you trust.
Many times we end up dying laughing at what comes up for both of us.
Humor softens the ego.
Use this practice, and you’ll notice shifts because you’ll witness the ego as separate, not as “truth.” When the ego is witnessed, it’s integrated.
When it’s integrated you get to make a choice.
If you’re up for it, tell me your ego’s favorite story below #selfhealers

So, you have a beautiful new life growing inside of you. Ah! First, we want you to take a deep breath. Now do it again. Isn’t that a little better? It is important to try to keep your stress levels down during pregnancy, but we don’t want you stressing out about that either!⠀
Your stress levels and external stressors can affect pregnancy in a number of ways. In general, stress isn’t good for your health, even when you’re not pregnant! ⠀
We worry about a lot of things on a daily basis. Being pregnant certainly doesn’t help! There’s a lot on your mind, but stressing out can affect your growing baby. ⠀
Stress produces a physical response in your body called the flight-or-fight response. This is a natural phenomenon that help us make quick decisions in stressful situations. External stressors or mental anguish can trigger this response and produce adrenaline and cortisol in your body. ⠀
How does stress affect baby? High stress hormones have been shown to affect birth weight and contribute to a number of long-term health issues. It’s impossible to avoid all negative stressors during pregnancy, but limiting them and your reaction to them is best for both you and baby. ⠀
Our next post will give you tips for reducing stress during pregnancy!⠀

30 minutes = 200 reps 💪🏼 If you feel like you are always pressed for time and can’t fit in a workout, you may not need as much time as you think!
Yesterday I put together a whole back workout in 30 minutes for @richardlander.sd and I at around 75% of our 1RM - it looked like this:
4 sets x 10 overhand chin ups Superset:
4 sets x 10 underhand last pulldown
4 sets x 10 straight arm lat pull down
4 x 10 seated low row
4 x 10 resistance band EXTERNAL rotation pulls (hands facing upward)
Externally rotating the shoulders is important to ensure correct posture and help avoid imminent shoulder impingements during high intensity weight training. Our shoulders are nearly always in internal rotation during day to day activities such as driving, reaching for things, writing, using your phone and being on a computer to name a few. This forms poor posture and slouched shoulders and can cause discomfort in menial tasks. All it takes is some basic resistance band exercises to encourage scapula control (your shoulder blades) to being those shoulders back.

When we take care of ourselves in the truest sense we are usually devoid of disease. Illness is not guaranteed.
We tend to forget that our body, when we are in an optimal health state, doesn’t develop chronic sickness. Potentially cancerous cells are naturally taken care of. Inflammation is appropriate. We don’t have chronic pain. Things are in balance, and this balance is an environment that does not foster illness. When we do develop illness we hammer it’s symptoms. We cut out or burn or radiate the tumor. We slam inflammation with steroids. We tackle pain with pain killers. Meanwhile, what is causing all of these issues is ignored.
Your wellness is TOTAL, it is made up of your mind, your physical body, your spirit, your connections. It is everything. Being in balance with all of these components doesn’t mean you focus on each specific factor at particular times. Being in balance means you understand that they are all one and the same. .
Do you all know that @doTERRA sells hand sanitizer?!?! 😱 Super good to stock up on at this time of year!
The powerful germ fighting benefits of On Guard are combined with alcohol, to give a truly antiseptic power to this spray! I am not afraid to rely on this to take on the toughest germs!
It's also super practical since it rubs in quickly. 👍
It is the perfect size to throw in your purse and tote around with you. Also, it doesn't contain any of the icky chemicals that cause bacteria to become resistant.
It's super affordable too, and smells delicious! 😃
Have you been thinking about trying essential oils? Message me! I would love to chat with you about your options to get started! I have a $50 in free product special right now! 😃

Do not dwell on the past. ⠀
Do not dream of the future. ⠀
Concentrate on the present moment. ⠀
— Buddha ⠀
This week I’ve gotten back into the groove of going back to read “Becoming Supernatural” by Dr. Joe Dispenza @drjoedispenza. I started reading the book earlier this year, and I haven’t finished it because, you know, Life. Not to mention… I usually read about 2-5 books simultaneously 😅& sometimes get caught up in some books more than others. ⠀
Everything has its own pace. Even books. ⠀
I thought I’d share some key ideas that I enjoyed while reading his work: ⠀
● You can merge with consciousness by becoming aware of it & by paying attention to it. Therefore, by experiencing consciousness we become conscious. ⠀
● With practice and if done correctly, we will feel more love, unity, & wholeness ⠀
● ”The discipline, then, is to:⠀
▵ trust in the unknown ⠀
▵ continuously, let go of control ⠀
▵feel greater and greater degrees of wholeness”⠀
Consciousness can only be experienced in the here and now. ⠀

SELF CARE FOR EVERYONE
We now offer two monthly subscription packages! Our annual subscription will save you time and money without the possibility of neglecting your true skin care needs due to the lack of time or a busy schedule.
✨On December 1st I will be adding a CBD facial to my menu!! 💖
✨CBD is amazing for skin conditions like acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, and seborrheic dermatitis. .
✨ CBD slows the secretion of excess sebum from the sebaceous glands. Because CBD has been proven to reduce sebum secretion, it is effective in the fight against acne and impure skin. .
✨CBD slows down cell proliferation on the skin which is HUGE for my fungal acne clients. When the rapid reproduction of skin cells caused by the Malassezia fungus(fungal acne). ✨Why is CBD cannabinoid so effective when dealing with skin conditions?
✨CBD cannabinoid binds to the endocannabinoid system in our body. It contains phytocannabinoids, which are cannabinoid molecules very similar to the endocannabinoids our body contains naturally. .
✨Endocannabinoids coordinate the functions of our whole organism, helping the body when it is sick or under stress. It could be said that the endocannabinoid system is the conductor of our body, ensuring that our bodies stay in tune and work harmoniously. .
✨CBD cannabinoid is so effective in fighting skin problems because our skin has its own endocannabinoid system. This system ensures that our skin is healthy and balanced. Serums containing CBD cannabinoid bind directly to the endocannabinoid system in the skin, helping the skin find its balance quickly and effectively.
