💬 What is your favorite classic?
Mine is definitely Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte, I had to read it at university so I think I read it three times then (including once in French) but it is the first time that I’m reading it just for pleasure 😃 and I love it more than ever...so ready to have my heart broken to pieces. 💔
I still don’t get why none of the movie adaptations is good...I can totally SEE it in my head while reading: the dialogues are so vivid... I would love a good adaptation of this book!?

Pour moi c’est Les Hauts de Hurlevent d’Emily Bronte que j’ai déjà lu trois fois je pense quand j’étais à la fac. C’est la première fois que je le relis juste pour le plaisir et je l’aime encore plus qu’avant je pense! C’est parti pour ramasser son coeur à la petite cuillère!
Aussi j’arrive pas à comprendre pourquoi les adaptations de ce roman en film sont si nulles! Quand on le lit on a vraiment l’impression d’être là et vivre les conversations avec eux, j’aimerais tellement une belle adaptation!

I’ve finished my third reread of WH this year so far and again, I’ve loved it. ✨
This book means so much to me, it’s dramatic, heartbreaking, dark, eerie but also beautiful. It looks at the horrible, raw terror of human nature and the cruelty of love. It’s a love story and an anti-love story in one. It’s breathtaking.
Heathcliff has always been, and will always be, my favourite character in the book - poor misguided, misunderstood and broken man that he is. His soul is blackened by the trials and abuses of his childhood life and while I can’t relate, it’s resonates.
And speaking of Heathcliff’s Soul, if you Swipe, I’ve shared a photo of my favourite lip balm from @literarylipbalms that is inspired by WH and was named by myself when I was repping for Vy and her amazing skincare boutique.
