Truth is... I’m not always motivated. What I am is disciplined.
Last night, I didn’t want to train. I was tired after a long day at work, it’s cold & I just wanted to go home. So I told myself to “just go for a bit” and if I’m not feeling it then I can leave & go home. I ended up having a really good session & felt really good afterwards 💃🏼 This morning I didn’t want to get out of bed to do cardio. It was dark, cold, windy & I was tired 💤 but I hauled my arse out of bed & went & did it anyway and I felt really good afterwards 💁🏼♀️ If I only went to the gym on the days that I felt like it, I wouldn’t train as much as I do now.
But... I love this lifestyle. I love how strong it’s made me 💪🏼 I love the way it’s me look 💁🏼♀️ I love the confidence it’s given me 🌟 I love the fact that it’s helped me meet some lovely people who otherwise I wouldn’t have 👩🏼🤝👩🏻 For me it’s worth powering through the odd CBA day as I know how easily a CBA day can turn into CBA days or months ❌

After a 30 minute CrossFit circuit, I call my little brother to get on this sled so I can push him. That’s how my mind works. That’s what makes me different. That’s the level I’m at 🛷 weight is an average 240kg for roughly 10-15 metres.

I took some time this morning to sit outside and watch the sunrise. I drank my coffee and I read my book!
I took some time to reflect on this past week and this piss poor attitude I’ve had at work.
I took some time to reflect on the amount of things I am grateful for.
I took some time to consider the amount of effort I’ve been putting into achieve my goals and realized I’m not putting in near enough.
I took some time to breathe.
I took some time for me.
It was exactly what I needed!

Today I weighed in at 246lbs and joined the 100lb club!
First photo- Today I lifted my starting highest weight of 347lbs! And the last photo is my first day at crossfit.. the difference is incredibly emotional for me.
Losing 100lbs is something I never thought possible for me, atleast not without weightloss surgery.. and for me, surgery wasn't an option. I quickly realized that I didn't need to go under the knife, I needed to get under the bar.
Through this journey I have learned so much about myself, and the importance of being intentional. I learned that I love lifting weights, and my competitive soul shines through even in the warm ups. I am thankful, grateful and blessed.
I have a tremendous support team, seriously today I told my coach that I wanted to lift 347lbs in honor of my weightloss, and he and some of my gym family stayed to watch me do it.. so blessed.. I always say that I am the same person, but truth is, I'm not. In fact, I'm so different, but I love the journey and I cannot wait to see what's ahead.

Lagi-lagi, salah satu IG-Nano PhD student berhasil menjadi penulis pertama dalam paper terbaru kami di Sensors. Walaupun punya pengalaman mengerjakan sensor, namun background dari Qomaruddin sebenarnya tidak di bidang nanomaterials (apalagi memahami physical phenomena-nya). Hal ini cukup wajar, karena berdasarkan pengalaman saya sendiri, di Indonesia kita terbiasa menganut prinsip "Yang penting alatnya jalan dan berfungsi". Kalau ditanya kenapa begitu? "YO MBUH! Takdir Tuhan." (Welah, handal tenan le nggambleh). Terlepas dari semua masalah yang ada selama studi/riset, kamu harus bisa memisahkan urusan pribadi dengan kerja. Be professional at work! JANGAN BAPERAN!

Following on from my last random af post, thought I would further explain since so many are flipping out (pun intended).
Couple years back I was trying out for @ninjawarriorau. The entry protocol required you to submit a video about yourself and your physical and mental attributes...well, this was my way of showing them I was completely capable 😂😂😂
This was shot as the last scene of my submission video. I still submitted the application and actually got in, but as the director of the show called, I was still in hospital healing up from a fractured L4 & L5 spine and a punctured left lung, therefor having to pull out.
👉🏼Video 1: me in hospital later that day awaiting brain and body scans for the actual diagnoses. Surgeons initially believed that I had broken my spine and wouldn’t walk again.
👉🏼Video 2: Was my first attempt at this jump. I succeeded but then wanted to make it a cleaner transition so I made another attempt at it...#fail 👉🏼Video 3: is the actual fall. My hand slipped off the first bar and the rest was history. I landed on my back and braced myself as I fell. Apparently the brace is what saved my spine.
👉🏼Video 4: 3 months later I was back inside the gym with a new goal to achieve a standing back tuck. I refuse to be held back and limited by fear. Life will always kick you down and present its challenges. It’s how you get back up and respond to those challenges which builds greatness within and strong character.
👀Moral of the story: use crash mats.

You work everyday? You do everything yourself? Yes I do everything myself, prep everything, cook everything, wash every dish, clean everything, order everything, make sure everyone gets paid, everything that a business requires all by myself... cause that shit ain't hard. What is hard? Being a kid and getting your water shut off, can't take a shower, power shut off, heat broken, going on drug runs with your dad and your uncle teaching you how to send drugs through the mail, getting kicked out the house sleeping on friends couchs in high school and eventually having to drop out cause you can't finish your assignments because you dont have a steady place to stay. Getting dropped off a block away from school because you're embarrassed of the car that your parents are driving, sleeping on the floor of a trap house, walking, riding the bus next to crackheads and people with aids(you can see the restaurant that I paid CASH for from the bus stop that i used to sit at wet and cold) , riding a moped rain, sleet or snow, working for someone else doing the same thing that I do now and making someone else money and getting paid 1/4 1/3 1/2 of what I get paid now, getting your house raided, charges, court, jail, driving 500$ cars, fighting, getting put on a dea watch list for being affiliated with habitual drug dealers, the list goes on. That's hard. This is not hard. This is cake compared to donating plasma and going to sleep hungry. Anddd... EVERYTHING I HAVE NOW I PAID CASH FOR, I HAVE NON EXISTENT CREDIT YOU CAN LOOK IT UP AINT NOBODY PUT ME ON OR DID ME A FAVOR, I PUT PEOPLE ON AND THEY SQUANDERED IT, I PAID MY WAY EVERYTIME AND PUT IN THE WORK MYSELF EVERYTIME. And... on top of that all the people that hate on me or talk shit about me or fucked me over for no reason cause I dont fuck people over at all are doing the same shit they been doing, which ain't shit and still think 1,000$ is alot of money. #truecooks
