Focusing on what you’ve accomplished, especially when it’s so easy to focus on what we haven’t yet done, is a sure way to remember that you’re doing amazing and you’ve come so far!! Write it on a post it and hang it somewhere in your home where you’ll see it every day, or put it in the notes section of your phone for when you need that loving reminder ❤️. I look up..and just by looking up...
my energy changes...
I bring my awareness to the light...
and the darkness
now seems beneath me...
I open to the beauty all around me 🙌
and it opens to me...
even more than that...
it somehow unfolds within me
and reveals itself
as part of my deepest layers...
wow...I am a part of all of this...
and I don’t even understand all of this...
but I am a part of all of this...
and so as this journey continues...
I find myself more and more in awe
of the beauty of life...
I find myself looking around
with the eyes of a child
staring and smiling in wonder...
and then I catch the eye of a stranger
and they smile back at me...
and for a moment
we enjoy just being here...together... ✨

Will sitting kill you? Yes and no. There was a study published in 2015 that basically said the more time we spend sitting, the greater our chances of getting very nasty diseases and even death are. The even scarier part was that these findings were found regardless of physical activity. So basically your hour long workout, does not cancel out the 8 hours of sitting you did at work.
Is sitting the enemy? Again, yes and no. This study looked at sedentary time, which is the time you spend that is relatively non-moving, which includes sitting. Sitting by far makes up the majority of the average person’s sedentary time. The study stated “Prolonged sedentary time was independently associated with deleterious health outcomes regardless of physical activity.”
This is pretty shocking and scary news. This study by the way was a systematic review and meta-analysis, which is an analysis that looks at other studies and is the highest rated scientific analysis/study that can be conducted. So this news shouldn’t be taken lightly.
Will most people listen? Nope. Why? Because they are human. Human nature is to not do something until we have to do it aka most people won’t take action until they are sick, injured, or in rough shape. This is one reason why there are so many sick, and unhealthy people living in the world today. But you aren’t one of them! Optimizing health, performance, and decreasing injury risk is all about preventative maintenance. Don’t let the problem become a problem.
