Healing Practice for Jealousy:
Imagine the woman who irks you.
She has something that takes you from 0-100 instantly with insecurities, envy and jealousy.
Picture her in your mind.
Imagine everything that makes her, her.
Her laugh, her hair, freckles, body, personality.
Every little detail that you envy.
Sit in the poison, the murky, ugly jealousy.
STUDY the tension in your body.
Now reimagine one by one, those features through her mothers eyes. Imagine the pride that her father feels in the child he raised. Imagine the way HER child looks at her. Imagine the excitement her grandmother feels at each of her successes.
Next- and this is most important.
Observe the softness and shifts as you LITERALLY RAISE your vibration and hers. Send her love.
Thank her for being.
Feel yourself cleanse and elevate.
Don’t do it for her.
Don’t do it for you.
Do it for the greater good of the human consciousness.
Do it for the broken bonds in sisterhood.
Like planting a tree for the environment- do it for every mean(hurt) girl out there.
Together we heal. *The last few days the theme in my DM’s and texts has been just this. Many woman have reached out expressing various struggles that circle this topic. After maybe the 8th conversion I felt called to share this practice with everyone.

I’ve been obsessed with the concept of “fun” lately. Even more the past few days contemplating another heart opening loss within our community. Evaluating what I enjoy doing and who I enjoy spending time with is important, because I’ve learned that I’ve been wired to be fearful and anxious by my upbringing. Especially as a woman of color. I’ve become more capable of asking myself “If this isn’t “fun”, why am I doing it?” because being “carefree” is not a privilege for this black woman, it’s my right.
Hard work is fun. I used to give myself an ego boost by telling myself “I’m just one of those people that likes hard work”…but everyone enjoys hard work, and if they don’t there’s misalignment in terms of what exactly their applying their energy too. We all love fully dedicating our energy to task that make us feel intelligent, capable and in our power. When we feel powerless, that’s when we are perpetuating an energy that has torn through our undeserving community for hundreds of years.
So today, ask yourself if you’re having fun. If you’re not, maybe ask yourself what you can do to make the current moment more fun. There’s always opportunity within the unmanifested. Every minute is as valuable as gold, because every minute is filled with unlimited possibility. Cry for the fallen, send love to their families then…if you’re able… stand back up and live a life so full of joy that you inspire others who have been beaten to find their own inner light…a light that may be in danger of being blown out.

The language in the yoga and fitness industries is really vague, misleading, and non-sensical.
I’m sorry to say that.
I’m not trying to be critical for critique’s sake.
I wish when I had pain that one of my so-called teachers could give me some useful information. The fact is no one could.
But ANYONE who has ever had real pain in their body and been given very ambiguous explanations or very ambiguous advice... anyone who has spent tons of money on experts, Doctors, PTs, trainers, teachers, healers (on and on) and fould themselves in exactly the same place they started just with less money in the pocket... you know that most people are guessing at what’s going on with you at best.
I’ve been there, and found my efforts to heal more frustrating than helpful.
When I took matters into my own hands, when I began to look deeply at myself and others, and see patterns of pain and injury, only then was I able to piece together this incredibly intricate puzzle of the body’s mechanics.
No more ambiguity.

Lolasana is my « To-go to » exercice when it comes to arm balance prep! I make sure to add it to my daily routine ! .
It requires a lot of strength with in the torso; pecs, serratus anterior and abs, but also in the spoas in order to bring the hips in flexion. .

Agreed but I remember peristalsis because of the way it was demonstrated- biology teacher did a handstand but I helped my son with GCSE using knowledge I had learnt by heart for O’level biology

Today we are featuring an amazing handstand couple called Daniel (@danielrama_) and Sarah (@shaktibird_), from Calgary, Canada.
Daniel and Sarah run retreats, workshops, and training around the world and they have recently released an app called Becoming Balance (details below).
Sarah taught herself to handstand about 6 years ago.
She considers handstands to be her first experience of meditation.
When Sarah was training, nothing else existed, and that was a level of peace she had never experienced before.
Daniel has been doing handstands for roughly 6 years. He's been doing them well for at least 3.
He describes the feeling of holding a clean handstand as truly incredible.
What Daniel enjoys most about handstands, are all the little lessons that he's learned about himself along the way.
They both have a passion for movement and consider it their mission to share their knowledge and experience with as many people as they can.
Daniel and Sarah have developed an awesome app called Becoming Balance (@becomingbalance), which they are constantly creating new content for.
Becoming Balance offers insights into subtle techniques for mastering inversions, hand balances and other amazing physical feats.
