A side by side back view comparison of my hair growth over 4.5 months!
I don’t post this angle often so it’s super awesome to switch it up. I trimmed my hair twice in between these two pictures and still see so much hair growth.
❤️I trim regularly- getting rid of dead weight to ensure length retention.
❤️Shampoo once a week- avoids drying scalp and hair out.
❤️Deep condition weekly
❤️Protein masks monthly
❤️ACV Clarification when needed
❤️Scalp massages with essential oils every other day-3 days
❤️Finger detangle gently to avoid breakage and help length retention
Do you often feel hair breakage is the end of your healthy hair?🤷🏻♀ No matter what your hair type is, hair breakage can happen to you.
If you’ve ever had uncontrollable frizz or noticed your ends starting to split, then you’ve probably experienced hair breakage first hand. ⠀
It’s all too common, but when it comes to getting (and maintaining) gorgeous-looking locks, it’s all about taking steps to stop hair breakage as much as you can. ⠀
Now Ready to show your strands some love? We’re breaking down- how to stop hair breakage in 👉7 different ways: ⠀
✅ 𝐃𝐨𝐧'𝐭 𝐓𝐮𝐠 𝐓𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐞𝐬 - Hair breaks more easily when it’s wet, so heed this golden rule: Never pull on wet tangles with a hairbrush.
✅ 𝐋𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐭 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐦𝐮𝐜𝐡 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐛𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐡- Daily brush strokes can actually lead to the formation of split ends. So, put your hairbrush down!
✅ 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐫 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐭- Before picking up your blow-dryer, flat iron, or curling wand, make sure to apply a heat protectant or avoid using daily.
✅ 𝐓𝐫𝐲 𝐚 𝐝𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭𝐲𝐥𝐞 - Avoid continuously wearing hairstyles like braids and ponytails, it can pull on hair and cause tension, which can lead to breakage.⠀⠀
✅𝐏𝐮𝐭 𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐭𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐥 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐢𝐜𝐤 𝐮𝐩 𝐚 𝐓𝐞𝐞- After hopping out of the shower don't rub your hair with a towel, it can be rough, so reach for an old cotton T-shirt instead.
✅ 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐩 𝐩𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐏𝐨𝐧𝐲𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐥 𝐬𝐨 𝐭𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 👱♀
✅ 𝐓𝐫𝐢𝐦 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐫 𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐲 💇🏻♀ ⠀
Follow these gentle hair tips and keep your hair strong and resistant to hair breakage. After all your hair deserves to be treated gently!💫 ⠀

OMG! There is nothing worse than having a dry and itchy scalp. Winter can be brutal and here are my 3 Tips For A Healthy Scalp to get your scalp together!! http://ow.ly/Sf8j30qd8uz #healthyhair#haircare#hairtips
I can’t get enough of trying all of the different colors. A harmless, stainless way of changing your hair color and it comes off with water. This is the purple hair paint from @shopponyfly use my code “AMBER5” for $ off 💜🦄
Alsooo, I read a post last night that really stuck with me. It said “To feel affected by a death of someone you don’t know is to realize that our reach, our impact, our energy extends far beyond the circle we perceive to be our own.” With that being said, sleep in peace to a real legend and my deepest condolences to his family and those involved. 👼🏾 Gone but never forgotten. #ripkobe
Lastly, in relation to this post, should I drop a video on how I apply the wax for it to last so long and keep my hair defined?👀🤪
Much like a haircut, you don't want to miss or push treatments off. Heat styling strips the hair of moisture, dries it out, and causes your color to fade. Hair treatments will help to rehydrate, repair and replenish the hair from the damage done during heat styling!

~MAGIC, is something you create~
The alarm goes off, you get out of bed, shower, get dressed, pour a coffee, and now it’s makeup and hair time. Ugh!You’re in the bathroom mirror, and you see similar to this ‘before’.....your roots look like THEY ARE GLOWING. 😳What’s running through your head?
“When is my appointment with Emilie?”
“Will anyone notice?”
“When the heck did that happen?”
Some quick magic tricks to get you through:
✨ switch up your part & fluff
✨zigzag your part, it’ll give you some extra volume to hide those gray sparkles
✨ try a colored root cover spray or powder in a color that’s a match to yours
✨ schedule your appointment for one week less(why struggle that last week)
✨add a face frame highlight at your next appointment (the dimension helps camouflage the new growth)
Did you know that gray coverage is one of my favorite services? I’ve chosen to specialize in it because I love the transformation that can happen in less than two hours. No gray, relaxation, more confidence, and a discouraged frown into a huge smile
Be sure to go back, on my page, and find the beautiful eggplant/violet picture and see the beautiful, big smile that usually results from this “before” appointment.
(Psst.... I’ll let you in on a little secret, we actually decided to start on a different color journey at her last appointment. It can take time since beautiful & healthy hair is important so stay tuned for future journey pics)

Do you suffer from dry hair?
These ways help me to get moisturized, soft and shiny curls.
1️⃣reading ingredients! Knowing your hair is part of reading labels. This will save you so many trial and error fails because you can understand what you’re putting in your hair and how your hair responds to it. In my highlights under the heading “ingredientlist” you see what to look for or to avoid.
2️⃣Pre-Poo! Prepoo’ing is a treatment that comes before shampooing your hair, hence the words PRE- (SHAM)POO. It involves adding oil to the hair to prepare it for the washing process which can be harsh on your hair. It also aids in retaining moisture, adding shine, and detangling and softening the hair.
3️⃣Clarify your hair! Your hair can’t retain moisture if build-up gets in the way.
Product buildup is layering of product on the hair strand. So use a clarifying shampoo because they are effective at removing product buildup. Also you can use an Appel Cider Vinegar (ACV) rinse, this is a natural solution to removing buildup.
4️⃣ACV Rinse! An apple cider vinegar based rinse can help restore life to your hair in a matter of moments. Not only can apple cider vinegar rinse unwanted dirt off your strands, but it can have seriously positive effects on your scalp health. Not only does your scalp have an acid mantle like the rest of your skin, but the acid mantle needs to be maintained, which means keeping a healthy pH balance.
5️⃣Deep Condition! Deep conditioning is a vital component of healthy hair. It helps prevent dryness and damage from heat and styling tools, as well as help to replace moisture and vital proteins into the hair shaft. When you deep condition your hair you help restore luster, shine and strength to your hair.
Follow these tips and see if it also works out for your hair ❤️

Voici 3 conseils pour éviter au maximum l’effet planche à pain sur les cheveux ! #HairTips http://mon.actu.io/r/yy8og4s pic.twitter.com/ZbirO2O3Kf
#Aloevera is everything!! It's so so good for sun burnt skin, irritated skin, dry skin, scratched skin (oh yes tried and tested lol I scratched my sister's cheek by mistake -promise- and it was pretty pretty bad but aloe proved to be a real hero). It's also an amazing non sticky hair mask, conditioner and even serum!! Yooo I've got frizzy hair. What else, some people eat/ drink its pulp too cause it's miraculously healing for the gut...maybe one day I might be able to but it's tooo bitter just to warn you. Though there are a number of brands serving this on a silver platter, lol, I like it the old nice way of plucking the leaf from home plant and slicing it to get that chilly, squishy pulp. Yes, it does feel a little tingly if you have irritated burnt skin like mine right now 🙈 Heads-up: be careful in selecting the plant. Make sure you get the green one from nursery to be on a safer side, not the wild red ones (I Have tried those at when I was staying at my aunt's place and it was very bad, so don't). But yesss why would you buy a bottle of aloe vera gel filled with who knows what preservatives when you can invest in a cheap plant? Yay. I genuinely love aloeee. Research more what you can do with it. In my eyes, it's a 5 star! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ #naturehealseverything
Who are the Real Housewives fans out there? “Have you ever said, “My hair gets used to my shampoo so I switch it up.” ???
Well, that’s actually because your hair is becoming less reactive to the chemicals in the shampoos you’re using. Yeah, chemicals😖. Chemicals cause the hair to react a certain way, but they have a time limit on their effectiveness. They also clog the pores & are limiting the quality of life of the hair.
When you rid the hair of silicones, petroleum byproducts, & waxy substances, you allow the hair to breathe.
Shampoo’s job is to clean hair- that’s it. It’s the conditioner’s job to moisturize + hydrate and bring that SLIP to the strands.
PRO TIP: I recommend using a wide tooth comb once the conditioner or masque is applied to the hair- to help evenly distribute products and gently untangle the hair.
While products that are free of harsh chemicals are super gentle and NOT harmful, they are also not necessarily helpful and most likely won’t give you the results you’re used to the stronger stuff providing you with.
My customers that switch to these Monat only notice their hair getting BETTER & BETTER every month. Our products serves as a gentle Nutrition System for the Hair. Gluten free, cruelty free, plant based, and none of the icky stuff...
If you think your hair is as good as it gets, I promise you- it could get better.” Christina Smallwood
