No time to wait for the TBE machine today, so no full body selfie 🤷🏻♀️. Looking at houses today and then heading home to figure out what to make for dinner and cut up some breakfast bars I made before dropping my son off at school. Definitely prepping some smoothies for the week as well!!! #weightlosstransformation #moveittoloseit #weightlossjourney #weightloss #losingweight #losinginches #gymselfie #workoutcomplete #healthyeating #healthylifestyle #obesetobeast #obesetofit #countingcalories #fitness #fitnessmotivation #motivated #motivation #motivate #gettingfit #nobodyshame #workout #gym #dedication #momlife

ARM workout extrime me training

Shrednado challenge revised from a year ago and crushed. This week, I learned about how important rest and recovery is. Not just physically but mentally as well. With the Around The Bay race training, weight training it has lately left me super tired. While bad habits are easy to fall back into, I vowed I wouldn't go back to my old ways.
To the man who approached my trainer and I, and commended me for my hard work I want to Say THANK YOU for lighting the fire under my butt when I needed it. Throughout my journey, I've had people at my gym approach me and tell me I look great, they've been watching me and saying the nicest things to me, and even the fittest of people have been commending me at the gym. This has made me feel motivated even when I've had a bad day, even when I didn't have a reason to show up, even when I was mentally just not in it. Compliments and kind words always usually make my day.
I remember when I first started, I was scared, lost, was unsure of what to do, and I was uncomfortable. I had to learn how to overcome that, and the sensory issues that came with the gym.
Years ago, I had a HORRIBLE experience at a big box gym and I thought it was going to be like that again. I was wrong. It did take me some time to get used to a routine, making it a habit to go to the gym and to love going there.
Remember that mental health is just as important as physical health. Never be afraid to do what you need to do to take care of your mental health but never lose focus on progress and what got you this far.
Moral of the story, when you see someone new at the gym make them feel welcome. If you watch them struggling offer to help them or show them what you know. If you notice someone at the gym making progress and their transformation, tell them as that could be the thing they need to hear the most.
I know this is a long post, but I hope this sheds light on my experiences at the gym an how grateful I am for wonderful people.
I was very hesitant about posting this! But I realized I should be proud of my achievements no matter how small... the progress I have made in 6 months took me by surprise! I was was called skinny all my life!!! When I look back at pictures my weight distribution was so different through high school and college that I remember never feeling 100% confident. My fitness journey has always been very inconsistent. At first, just cardio, boxing, and light weights. I NEVER stepped out of my comfort zone!!! Until finally this past year(2018/2019) I became more consistent and lifting heavier. What also changed was diet, priorities, and simply life. We ALL felt that shocking feeling on Sunday... life is too short, too precious to not make the most of it. I am determined to continue to feed my MIND, BODY, and SOUL. We need to remember that it's all mental and we NEED to take care of our MENTAL health!! Bc it's not just about trying to get a cute body, I've been through ALOT! I'm blessed to be here right now!! I just want to spread love and positivity from now on and I hope you all do too. ❤🙏🏽
Are you self sabotaging yourself without even knowing it? This happens often - even I can be guilty of it sometimes. Messing things up once and then thinking “well I’ve already messed up today, might as well start again tomorrow”
A lot of people do this with dieting or the gym, which is what I’m here to try and help out with ⬇️
You ever cheat on your diet and then think “well I’ve already eaten bad today - why not go all out and start my diet back tomorrow.” OR skip on your workout for the day, say you’re going to go tomorrow, but instead get down on yourself and don’t go back for weeks on end?
We are all human. We all make mistakes. Anyone who says they don’t is lying. Just because you mess up one meal or miss one workout — doesn’t mean you can’t get right back to it.
Things to keep in mind are that this is a lifestyle change, meaning things are going to pop up. Family issues, meetings, anniversaries, birthdays, first dates, etc. You have to remember that and keep in mind it’s going to happen, that way when it does, you dont self sabotage yourself and ruin all the progress you have made, or stop yourself from reaching your full potential.
This should be fun. This should be challenging, but an exciting challenge.. one that gets you excited. Motivation will come and go, discipline is what’s going to get you the results and I can’t stress that enough.
Don’t skip 95% of your life trying to weigh 5% less. Unless you’re competing, dont obsess over every single gram of food you consume, and freak out if you’re not perfect everyday. Don’t let this lifestyle get into your head enough to where you dread it. Enjoy the process and see how far you can go. You’ll learn a lot about yourself during the process 🙂
PS thanks to all who used code TAYLOR on the @inakapower drop yesterday. I appreciate y’all more than you guys will ever know. Keep an eye out for a @sourstrips giveaway coming sometime this upcoming week 👀 If you used my code and let me know about it, you have extra entries to win!
