Good posture is the key to moving and feeling great! The first image shows 5 bad postures that many people develop. As you can see in the picture, when one thing gets out of position the rest of the chain is affected and compensates accordingly. EVERYTHING IS CONNECTED.
In the next series of posts we are going to focus on the thoracic spine. One of the most common issues we see is kyphosis. The second image shows upper and lower crossed syndrome which develops from the muscular imbalances created from the poor posture. As your upper back gets more rounded (kyphotic) your upper traps, sternocleidomastoid (SCM), and pecs become more overactive and tight while the neck flexors, lower traps, and serratus are inhibited (inactive) and get weaker. This is the common cause of shoulder problems, elbow pain, nerve problems in the hands, headaches, neck tension, upper back tightness, etc.. The last video is a thoracic mobility test that you can try out yourself to see if you need to start working on your posture! If you are unable to extend your arms overhead and keep your back flat against the floor, you need to work on your thoracic mobility. *Side note* if you failed this test, then you shouldn’t be doing over head pressing.* Stay tuned for more posts on how to help your posture!

Non è stato Amore “a prima vista”, perché a prima vista (via Social) io ti ho dato del Secco Sfigato e tu,come sempre,ti sarai sicuramente limitato ad un commento acido come per dire “ma ti sei vista con quei pesi della Barbie..?”. E non è stato neanche Amore “al secondo e terzo messaggio”..è stato Amore al primo “Ciao Tu”,detto in un Aeroporto in Spagna.È stato Amore alla prima parola di vita che ci siamo raccontati,al primo Abbraccio per salutarci,al primo tempo passato insieme,prima di un LegDay.QUEL LegDay.
E oggi,dopo più di un Anno,mentre io mi Alleno,tu fai il Pollo interrompendo i miei Video. Però ci sei.Come ogni giorno.E allora a me va bene così ❣️
