Earth Goddess Prayer
Oh Mother of all the Earth
I honor and pray to thee
You are the Water that runs
the Fire that burns to keep us warm
the Earth that supports our feet
the Winds that carry your voice.
Oh Earth Mother, who gives us all
We praise thee
for all that you are
all that you do
all the You will become.

In Awe Of Frida Kahlo: A self taught artist who suffered chronic illness and disability throughout her life, Frida still made huge achievements in art, including being awarded the National Prize of Arts and Sciences in 1946 at the age of 39. Talk about 40 under 40.
Inhale deeply and feel your lungs fill with air. Notice the expansive nature of your body, how good it feels to take up space and breathe in life⠀
You are a living, breathing, divine being on this beautiful planet. Making your way through this world, breath by breath, step by step, you are the Universe expressed in human form. You are love. ⠀

I am up just in time to watch the sunrise. The orange seems less out of place in the desert; more calm than chaotic. It is a familiar dream of softness. The moon is still in the sky, just a sliver. Sharp enough to see a man lying against it, arched back, catching stars with a pole. After flying through the sky, I feel content here on land. My perspective feels more whole, complete. What a shame it would be to never see the world from above. There are dogs barking like mad in the distance. I wonder what has caught their attention. It’s so contrasting to the calm that is in my heart. The birds are softer, as if they’re just waking up with tickles and giggles. In this silence, the sound of laughter feels foreign. Like it would echo all the way through the land, awakening the magic that has been asleep. I imagine what it would feel like to land here before any other soul. Would there be excitement or fear? Is there really any difference? Would human nature want to be one with our Earth, our Mother, or would it want to destroy her? I suppose the latter is how we all got here. I am grateful and yet I wonder what it would be like if it were different. If protection was all we knew. I hope the land here feels nourished by my eyes and heart, which sees and feels so deeply. I hope she feels calm and understood.
A moment captured in my journal during my time in the desert.
