Ringing in day 8 on the all mighty miraculous mono watermelon juice. This has been such a flash and I am bubbling with appreciation for everything I’ve learned on this little island so far, with all my stunning melon people. I’m bursting with pride for all of us.
I started my melon fast knowing that I would rock on the watermelon juice for a bit because I had been adoring it in the mornings for the week prior. It just came SO easy and the juice is so fulfilling. So it flowed. After the first couple days I thought - maybe I’ll ride this wave for about a week if it continues to feel this good. And it did and I did.
I have no attachments to today but do believe I’ll probably have myself a slow melon feast for dinner. I’m adding some squeezed lemon into my morning watermelon juices to kick up the detox a bit and break things down in there because I’m all primed up. I may be adding in some GI Broom to sweep sweep.
I feel lucky to have experienced some emotional detox AND my copper IUD removal right before jumping into melon island so I’ve been riding the other side of that while on this cleanse - aka lots of release relief and joy. That’s not to say emotional detox won’t get me but so far nothing too shadowy is happening over here. I think that’s also thanks to the incredible light-hearted @lightsamps / #melonfast2k19 community bouncing all around me.
Generally I have had tons of energy, especially mental. I can SEE so much better. It reminds me of when I first hit the fruit for two months, exactly a year ago, and I had an incredibly emotional experience as my deepest lingering symptoms lifted. This is happening again in a next level sense.
I’ve been adding more detailed melon fast videos to my IGTV and will continue to do that.
I am feeling strong and steady. Years ago this is just not something I thought I could conquer. But here it is - happening. Small changes and determination over time lead to deep healing and I am celebrating that up in these very moments. I sure hope you are too. 💕

Dates are the perfect food for athletes as the sugar and high potassium content are ideal for refuelling the brain and muscles. Their low glycemic index (similar to oats) means the sugars are slow realising - good for endurance.
They are a highly anti-parasitic food, removing toxins like heavy metals, etc as well as bacteria, parasites, viruses, etc. -
Dates’ high mineral content means they provide an abundance of minerals to the adrenal glands, which are responsible for producing hormones and handling stress. Often overworked adrenals are behind your fatigue from too much stress and not enough nourishment. When you provide the adrenal glands with the minerals they need, they can make hormones needed to deal with day to day stresses.
Dates are extremely high in amino acids (muscle building proteins), making them a nice addition to your post workout meal.
Dates are a must have in the diet and in the house. The perfect snack, pre-workout and dessert. I use them alone, in smoothies and granola bowls.

Australian ex-model Turia Pitt suffered burns to over 60% of her body. She had four fingers from her left hand and her right thumb amputated and spent more than two years in a hospital after she was trapped by a grassfire in a 100 kilometre ultra-marathon.
Turia is now married to her long term boyfriend Michael Hoskin.
Michael proposed using a ring he bought when Turia was in intensive care.
Turia, who works as a humanitarian, shared a picture of herself with Michael writing: “Stoked to have this beautiful man in my life! You bring out the best in me and I can’t wait for the rest of our lives together.” The motivational former model suffered burns to nearly two thirds of her body and her boyfriend decided to quit his job to care for her recovery.
Turia, who has undergone over 200 operations since the incident, told Australian Women’s Weekly after the proposal that she is overwhelmed with love.
Former policeman Michael said: “When Turia was in intensive care four years ago I bought a diamond ring.” In an interview for CNN they asked Michael: “Did you at any moment think about leaving her and hiring someone to take care of her and moving on with your life?” His response was simply stunning: “I married her soul, her character, and she’s the only woman that will continue to fulfill my dreams.” #Consciousvibrancy

LEMON POPPYSEED BERRY CHEESECAKE
I love anything LEMON and POPPYSEED. And you can never go wrong with berries, especially when they are in season!!
1 box Lemon cake mix
1 box instant vanilla or Lemon pudding mix
Mix the pudding with
2 cups milk
1-2 tbsp poppyseeds
Add the cake mix. Mix and spread into pizza Pan. Bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes.
Chill and top with topping.
8 oz. Softened cream cheese
1/2 cup icing sugar
1/4 cup melted white chocolate
Beat until smooth and add
1 cup whipping cream, whipped
Spread over top of cooled cake and top with fruit!
