Another freezing evening in Sydney calls for a hot comforting dinner. Making breakfast on weekdays is the hardest decision that I sometimes have to make because let's face it there is only so much that a groggy sleepy mind can think of first thing in a morning. This meal was one of the best meals I have eaten this year in Sydney which did not burn a hole in our pocket. Lip smacking lamb and Chicken kebabs freshly grilled on Charcoal, the meat delicately smoky, falling apart with the gentlest of touch scooped up with the softest bread and an assortment of Dips in the company of much loved friends. The ambience transporting me to the streets of old Delhi, the conversations making it feel like home and the food exactly what we needed to complete this weekend. There is nothing more a Desi girl can want on a cold winters night besides good food and wonderful company. Don't you agree?

I almost always never finish my food. It's almost become a habit, to leave just a few bites. I do the same with my coffee.. Some of the time, it's because I'm full. Some of the time it's because I can see my husband eyeing me out for those last few bites (as it's become an expectation of his, to vacuum up those last few mouthfuls). Other times, it's just because I'm not a huge fan of the dish. But this... this is the fattiest, oiliness, carbiest, cheesiest thing one can consume, yet every.single.time, I manage to polish it off without any difficulty... isn't that amazing 😉
