FIRST GYM SESSION BACK ✨

Well, not quite a ‘gym session’ as I once used to do 😅 - but a huge step in the right direction. It’s been 3 weeks of not doing anything and just waiting, but today I felt confident enough to test the waters. For those that don’t know I have costochondritis, but my symptoms have eased off massively this week and medication has been reduced again 🥳
Week 1: bed rest
Week 2: slow walks (20 mins building up to trips out)
Week 3: getting around without active pain
Yesterday was also the first day I didn’t need to nap whilst I was doing work and felt like the accompanying fatigue has improved so much - which made me SO happy 🤓
So as the gym this morning went: I just thought of a few exercises that didn’t jeopardise any inflammation in my upper body, so ended up doing leg press (conventional, narrow stance, and single leg), the leg extension machine, and then some walking lunges 🥰
Of course I used minimal weights (3kg lol holla) but compared to what I have been able to do these past few weeks this is HOOGE. I will NOT be pushing myself any harder than this until I continue to improve, as my health will always come first - but my god it feels great to get my body moving again ✨
Now back home for some oats, then to my desk for the rest of the day to smash ma law stuff 🤓. Have a fab day peeps!
