Do you like to recreate meals at home that you have eaten when dining out?
I love it! I get so many good ideas when I dine out and then I like to put my own spin on them at home.
This rice noodle salad was a recent one and it will be going on repeat here!

😉Why I'm NEVER HUNGRY 🌱 #iwillgetleanrecipes
My biggest nutrition hack 😁 - "Low-calorie High-volume" Foods #neverHungry #alwaysFull
Once you decide to break up with sugar & processed foods and announce to everyone that you are on a "diet" brace yourself for "cravings" due to hunger pangs. Processed foods are calorie-dense but very small in size eg - a chocolate bar or slice of pizza approx 300 kcals. In a couple of bites, you've consumed 300 kcals but you don't feel "full" since you chewed only 2-3 bites. Hence you seek more. This is a classic trap no one ever realizes.
Now let me give you a bowl of air-fried veggies that equates the calories of the chocolate bar - it will be a VERY large bowl and will take you at least 20-25 bites to finish it off. But you will feel "full" and have had eaten only 300 kcals ! 😀
Below are some of my favorite foods that leave me feeling STUFFED aka require more CHEWS:
.🌈 Fruits you can bite into - apple, orange, guava, pear, berries (1-2 at a time).
🌈 Quinoa over rice - higher in fiber hence bloats up in the belly taking up more space; making me feel "full"
🌈 Grilled Chicken vs chicken curry - grilled chicken requires more 'chews' and takes longer to cut up and eat than a curry.
🌈 Sprouted lentils (moong).
🌈 Hot mint herbal tea during my meals - slows down my meal consumption & hence makes me feel full and eliminating the chance of overeating.
I have 5 more faves, but you will have to wait for the next post !
COMMENT 👇🏼 what are your most filling foods ? 😃
My fitness journey began about 3 years ago. I saw one of my friends going every week and thought “hey, I should probably start doing that as well.” I thought it was the perfect opportunity since I would have someone to go with and also hold me accountable. I started going to the gym with that friend twice a week and followed a list of a few workouts he had on his Notes app 😂
After about a month and a half of consistently going to the gym, my friend stopped showing up. All of a sudden, I felt like a fish out of water walking into that gym that first day alone. But I didn’t let that stop me. I started going to the gym no matter who was showing up, and began holding myself accountable to the goals I wanted to achieve for ME after that day. I realized that the only person that is going to make a difference to my body is me and ONLY me. It was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
Fast forward three years later, I never would have thought that health and fitness would become such a big part of my life. I hope this little back story on how I got started on my fitness journey inspired you today, or helped you realize how easily you could do the same with a little bit of PERSISTENCE and SELF-DISCIPLINE! Happy Monday - go chase your goals this week ✌🏻
