Today's workout was difficult for me and I really struggled with motivation. Broke some sweat and tears but did my abs x3.

I got free coffee at Starbucks since it's my birthday. Enjoying that with my oats as I plan my day. I've got 4 hours of meetings scheduled today and 8+ hours of work that needs to get done. It might be rough seas today.

I have to say I am proud of myself and am so ecstatic!! Yesterday I was able to complete Week 5 Day 3 of #c25k which was running for 20 mins straight 🏃♀️😋🥰 This is HUGE for me!! To think, a little over a month ago I could barely run 30 seconds continuously to where I’m at now, is a MAJOR #nsv 🥇🥰 It is true that you have to believe in yourself and that small steps do add up! 🤩🤩🤩
Also made it to #club3fer and managed to #slay30k 🏃♀️🙌🏃♀️ What goals have you achieved so far or are still aiming to achieve during this #iamwilling challenge? 🥇💕

The mindset you MUST have in order to maintain your long term weight loss/ fitness goals ✨
Does this sound like you?
-SUPER motivated to FINALLY lose the weight.
-Sets goal to lose “x” amount of weight by “x” date.
-Plans to stick to “x” calories and do “x” amount of cardio a day.
-Is alllll on board for a few weeks or a month and then when you don’t see the exact progress or outcome you want... you give up.
Sound familiar? This is the reality for a lot of people and the problem is this: you’re in it for the wrong reasons. You want to be “skinny” not healthy. You want to eat to lose weight, not to adapt a new lifestyle. You care about the next 8 weeks, not the next 8 years. You’re focused on the scale and not on how you feel. You only care about changes on the outside and entirely overlook any signs of change on the inside.
Quite frankly.... your mindset fucking blows. There is one person on this planet that is capable of taking care of you and you refuse to take that job seriously. You HAVE to be in this for more than just a new pant size. If you can’t view this as a collection of habits to build up to a new life, you will fail.
You must view this as an opportunity to recreate your life, take your self care seriously, and to enhance your quality of living and experience. If you don’t... you’ll end up in that cycle I outlined above.
You have to give a fuck. You have to have your heart in the right place. You have to accept that this is something you have to be able to maintain long term (so if your plan seems way too hard, you need a new plan). Once you adapt this mindset though, you’ll have way less drop offs of motivation. You’ll be able to see the progressions on all fronts: how you feel, how you perform, in your small habits, in mindset shifts, in your skin, in your sleep patterns, in how you handle stress, in self care.
Focus on your health first and I promise the rest will come later.

:3. Stretches your back.
:4.Opens up shoulder blades.
:5.Tones reproductive organs.

If you’re anything like me, you love anything sweet - especially with dark chocolate🍫
▪️1 cup almond flour
▪️1 cup coconut flour
▪️2 ripe bananas
▪️1 tsp vanilla extract
▪️3 TBSP coconut oil
▪️1 cup dark chocolate chips
▪️1/4 cup almonds
▪️2 TBSP raw pumpkin seeds
▪️2 TBSP raw sunflower seeds
▫️Line a 9x9 baking dish with parchment paper.
▫️In a food processor, blend almond flour, coconut flour, bananas, vanilla extract & 2 TBSP of coconut oil until you have a firm mixed dough.
▫️Fill the baking dish with the dough & lightly press on it so it’s even.
▫️In a double boiler, melt the chocolate chicks & left over coconut oil until it’s smooth. ▫️Pour the chocolate over the dough and smooth it out.
▫️Sprinkle the almonds , pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds ice the chocolate & place the dish in the drive for 30 mins.
▫️When the chocolate has set, remove the mixture from the fridge & cup them into 12-16 bars, wrap each individually and enjoy!
✨Store in fridge/ freezer.
Ps - next time I would probably add a bit of maple syrup to make it more sweet so maybe consider this when making them!

after an amazing weekend full of healthy eats & fitness, i am SO READY to take on this monday 🦋✨
being back at uc berkeley is definitely a big change from my lazy vacation at home in mexico — but planning a weekend full of my favorite activities was just what i needed to get back in the swing of college craziness 🤪
friday was SO much fun. i started my morning at 6:30am to get a killer functional training workout in (find it in my free fitness challenge ebook 🔥) before meeting up with my friend Megan (@sayimafoodie ⭐️) to go on a foodie trip to SF. we spent the entire day finding healthy restaurants, eating, walking a few miles up some absolutely BRUTAL hills, and then eating some more (if you’re ever in the bay area, check out @wholesomebakery for healthy desserts! their 7-layer bar was so good ✨)
saturday was another super fun day. i woke up at 7:00am to do 1 hour of cardio (kickboxing, abs, and some hiit from my ebook!) and then went to a 10:00am 1 hour vinyasa yoga class with @chachachelsea 💛. after that, we went to the berkeley farmers’ market and walked around town for an hour, then went back to my apartment to make some delicious nourish bowls. we spent hours talking about yoga, plant based eats, and how we both want to move to hawaii — friends like her are one in a million!
i hope you all had a refreshing, relaxing (and semi-productive 🤪) weekend, and are getting ready to take on this week’s new challenges! do your meal prep, go to sleep early, get your daily workouts in, and get ready to kick some ass!! 🤭
Been quiet the last few days. I’ve needed a break from...everything? Haven’t worked out in 3 days, but I’m not going to beat myself up over it. I’ve just not been feelin emotionally awesome for whatever reason, and that’s ok. I see it. I recognize it for what it is. It’s not derailing me. I just needed a breather, so I took one. I certainly intend on getting a workout in tonight...✌️💪

Hamstrings are sore as hecky!
Really proud of myself during the past 4 months. Before October, I was really not consistent with my fitness and nutrition.
My mindset switched during a challenge when I started finally seeing results and what my body was capable of. Since October I have lost nearly 20 pounds(!!!) I finally understand what my body needs and how to fuel it (it took many, many tries). I am finishing roughly 3 more weeks of this cut then heading into maintenance for a while. Let’s see what work we can do in 3 weeks!!!!
