Glowing Trees At Sunrise, Mattamuskeet Lake, North Carolina, 2011. Photo by @robbiengs. "This is a really personal image because this is near the family farm in North Carolina where I used to go with my father. Lake Mattamuskeet is in a national wildlife refuge. There’s a Native American legend that attributes the formation of the lake to a fire that burned for fourteen moons. My father and I would visit it at sunrise and spend some really quality time that many young men these days don’t seem to get with their fathers.

I took the image a couple years after my father passed away. I put on waders and stood out in the lake with my tripod and camera. As I stood there, I thought about him and the times we spent at the farm; and all the things he taught me over the years. All the elements came together. The lake was calm; the clouds were unique; and the reflection of the cypress trees on the flat-water lake was like a reflection of my life with him. I still carry his spirit with me when I am in the field photographing and visit the lake every year to reconnect with him and reflect on our time together." Бесконечно можно смотреть на несколько вещей: огонь, воду и то как рисуют другие✏️ Люблю #speedpaint , но не в своём исполнение пересматривать 😁выложишь и тут же видишь #100500 косяков 🤷‍♀️🤪 кстати, был тут вопрос почему часть того что я выкладываю в наброске не появляется в полноценном рисунке? einen schönen wochenstart an euch. etwas softes für die augen von mir am greifswalder bodden. das wasser ist trotz steigendem meeresspiegel sehr weit zurückgegangen, was widerum nicht mit wassermangel zu tun hat. auch das der sand anderorts aufgefüllt wird am strand (strandsand ist gelegentlich im übrigen grober als der sand der aus dem wasser ausgebackert wird, was zu erneuter erosion führen kann), hatte damit nichts zu tun. es war lediglich extrem abwindig. gut vorbereitet mit diesen wetterdaten zog es mich also nun zum greifswalder bodden bei der insel koos und konnte diese aufnahme machen. 😊

a nice start to your week. something soft for the eyes of me on the #greifswalderbodden. despite rising sea levels, the water has dropped very far, which in turn has nothing to do with water shortage. also, the sand is filled elsewhere on the beach ( #beach sand is occasionally coarser than the sand which is eroded from the water, which can lead to renewed #erosion), had nothing to do with it. it was just extremely downhill. Well prepared with these weather data, I was drawn to the greifswald #bodden near the #island of #koos oos and was able to take this picture.
