This 👏People on low incomes are often far better with money than people give them credit for
When you don't have much money, you kinda have to be clever with it in order to get by. When you have lots of money, you can afford to be a little more reckless
Also, not only does it take money to make money, research suggests that being poor is actually more expensive! The cost of rent vs the cost of mortgage repayments is just one example
If you keep beating yourself up for being bad with money, click the link in my bio for my checklist: 34 Signs You're Not As Bad With Money As You Think You Are
You don't have to tick off all the things on the list. If there are just one or two things you can do, that's a great start! Wanna improve your money skills? Pick a couple more things from the list & focus on them going forward

I took this picture while I was on a cruise last month but I still plan on putting my feet up and relaxing this evening. ⠀⠀
Our weather has been cooler than usual, so evenings in the hot tub have been the highlight of my day. ⠀⠀
It helps me relax. I listen to the birds. I look at the flowers and trees in the yard. Basically, I listen and watch nature. ⠀⠀
How do you plan to spend the rest of today? ⠀⠀
I’m imagining we will eat out tonight but maybe not. I have left that up to how we are feeling. I am not super strict with our meals. I have one category for food. How we spent it is up to us. I do break down groceries versus eating out but I care more about sticking to the overall budget amount. ⠀⠀

Just put out my 1st podcast called 'Just Over Broke' for those looking for more than working 9-5 until they can retire, looking to learn about financial literacy, and start their own side hustle!! I can admit that I don't have a voice for radio, nor have I ever been good at public speaking. But I'm putting this out anyways despite my weakness and uncomfortability in this area. All I can do is be consistent and things will get better!
The 1st show is only 15 minutes...please take a listen!! anchor.fm/just-over-broke

As #GenX help their children with getting through college, this is a pretty large financial commitment to make. The decisions around college are not easy.
But parents can take some control by actually sitting down with their college bound child and discussing the financial impact of how college will be financed. We make better decisions when we don’t just focus on the short term decisions but rather the longer term impact. ***
The questions that you and your college bound child need to ask is how will this debt impact us in 5, 10 and 15 years from now? What sacrifices can we make today to take on less debt? ***
These are not easy decisions. But with $1.2 TRILLION student loan crisis, these straightforward conversations are necessary.
