Not everyone needs to calorie count but if your looking to lose weight or want to manage your weight then being calorie AWARE is super important.
Being aware of foods that contains lots of calories and making choices to use lower calorie versions will make a big impact on your results.
If you liken calorie counting to checking your speedometer in the car.
All is okay, but if you keep getting speeding tickets (gaining weight) then you need to keep an eye on that speedometer more (count calories).

🚨HIP MOBILITY 🚨 Tight hips can lead to compensatory patterns causing muscle imbalances. A combination of; lack of strength training and mobility exercises, sitting for long periods of time and poor running mechanics can cause you problems with the hips.
If the hip flexors are tight and the smaller stabilising muscles around the hip are weak - this can predispose you to injuries such as ITB syndrome, Patellofemoral pain syndrome (known as runners knee) and lower back problems.
These are just some exercises that will help loosen the hip flexors, and strengthen the surrounding stabilizing muscles. 🔑 Do not compensate with the lumbar spine. Embrace core. 🔑 Listen to your body - do not work through pain.

A very prevalent issue! From our HCP focus group we delevoped efficiencies based on needs: a quick reference screening tool for in-clinic referrals, an exercise reference script, and synthesized evidence for tumor specific exercise education. This had great referral success

I always encourage to follow a balanced diet, where you consume everything in moderation including guilty pleasure foods and drinks (80-20 rule).
It’s common sense that healthy eating improves your health and well-being. However, there is actually an eating disorder known as 𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐱𝐢𝐚 that involves an obsession with healthy eating and optimal nutrition.
Few examples of orthorexia are:
- People feel anxious, guilty and get sense of impurity when they break their dietary rules
- Body image and self-esteem starts to depend on complying with dietary rules.
- Spending a large amount of time researching whether certain foods are “clean” or “pure” enough.
- Stopping any social activities such as eating out because of food choices and perfect meal timings.
Enthusiasm for healthy eating is a good thing, but when it turns into an obsession that negatively affects everyday life, such as extreme weight loss or a refusal to eat out with friends - that’s when we know there’s a problem.
I have missed dancing so much and have been loving watching mummy do her @emiwong_ exercise videos, so I decided to make my own.
