Going through a separation or divorce is a difficult time, we totally understand. During this time it’s important to update your Will and Power of Attorney as let’s face it, you probably don’t want your ex partner making financial, legal and medical decisions on your behalf if you became incapacitated or receiving a share of your estate if you die. Updating these documents once you have separated from your partner will give you control over your affairs and peace of mind. To make an appointment to put these important documents in place contact us on 9879 0734
Not every post has to be fully professional...but the content will be!
Booked another flight to back New York and will be able to visit clients during the tax season. I will be continuing to post a few tax tips and reminders because now is the time of year most ideal for making some key moves! .
Whether you are single, married or a business owner your tax conversations should go hand in hand when planning financially. Here are some things to look out for:
1. Maximizing/Opening IRA and Roth IRAs/Retirement Plans
*The SECURE Act was just passed this year which has redefined a few rules regarding your retirement contributions!
2. College Planning (529) Plans
*One of my favorite planning tools for clients with kids/grandkids and has also had some improvements due to the SECURE Act
*By re-shopping insurances in conjunction with a tax return it can be the best time to save and increase coverage with fixed expenses. Insurances include: Life, Disability, Home, Auto, Long-Term Care, etc.
The list goes on and on so have your financial professional walk you through areas you have questions or concerns. Taxes and timing can be two HUGE wealth eroders and don't be on the losing end. .

The question shouldn’t be what are you missing out on...⠀
Rather, the question should be what are you working towards?⠀
The beautiful thing about purpose is that it does not require you dot all i’s and cross all t’s. ⠀
It does not require you to be everywhere, every time, every day.⠀
It does not call the qualified...it qualifies the call.⠀
So rest easy…⠀
You have not missed out on that which was meant for you.⠀
On the contrary, you are well on your way.⠀
Tag a friend who needs to hear this.⠀

To help overcome procrastinating your #EstatePlanning, visualize what happens without a will
We all know “billable hours” have long been the key measure of success in law firms.
Unfortunately, when lawyers bill by the hour, it means that in order to reach higher income goals, they have to put in more hours.
And that’s a recipe for stress, overwhelm, and eventually, burnout.
Nowadays, many lawyers have made the shift to flat fee billing.
Yet even though flat fees solve the trading-time-for-money problem, many lawyers fail to charge enough. And, as a result, they create a whole new set of problems!
When their flat fees are way too low, it’s actually impossible to provide a meaningful and fulfilling service and do it sustainably.
Once again the result is burnout.
The fix? We call it “Breaking the Time Barrier” and it’s essential if you want to create a thriving AND sustainable law practice, while making a real impact in your clients’ lives. “Breaking the Time Barrier” is what our most successful lawyer members have done in order to completely disconnect their fees from the hours they invest for the client.
They provide an invaluable service, they get paid $3,000 – $5,000 per client for doing so, and they are able to choose the number of clients they want to serve each month.
It really can be that simple. And it is 1 of 5 shifts you'll learn on our upcoming training:
Discover The 5 Key Shifts Our Most Successful Lawyer Members Used to Create High-6 and 7-Figure Law Practices Serving Families and/or Small Business Owners … … Without dealing with opposing counsel, billing by the hour, sacrificing time with family, or ever taking a client they don’t love to serve.

As a parent we have to talk about things that sometimes aren’t the most fun to talk about. Like “why can’t the dog poop inside” and “how come mama’s tummy is squishy” or what would happen to our kids if something happened to us. That last one is a big oof. No one wants to think about that, but it’s still something we should be prepared for. That’s where @trustandwill comes in—in literally 10 minutes we created our own legal, living will. If you’re a parent, this is a super simple way to create an important document... go to trustandwill.com and use the promo code ADULTING2019. .
Both wills and trusts are estate planning documents that can be used to pass your wealth and property to your loved ones upon your death. However, trusts come with some distinct advantages over wills that you should consider when creating your plan.
That said, when comparing the two planning tools, you won’t necessarily be choosing between one or the other—most plans include both. Indeed, a will is a foundational part of every person’s estate plan, but you may want to combine your will with a living trust to avoid the blind spots inherent in plans that rely solely on a will.
