Perhaps we rotate through stages in life. Maybe they could be viewed as growth, relaxation, integration, & recalibration. I definitely feel like I’m in a ‘growth’ stage right now.
In this Ashram style of living I’m constantly asking my body to do things which are currently tough. To surpass what it already knows in the search of a deeper internal quietness. I’m asking my brain to learn new things. I’m being given conflicting information to disseminate & my muscles are sore.
If I’m not working physically hard then I’m sat on a cold stone floor chanting or learning more about philosophy, anatomy or breathwork. I wash in a bucket of hot water at 5am which steams because my room is so cold at that time before 90 mins of intense physical practice. After a few hours more learning I eat what I am given & there is no coffee 😆😬. _
When the studying is over I spend from 8-9pm alone daily, processing the epic learnings of the day before I pass out. Then I invariably wake up 2-3 times a night with the sound of many stray dogs barking outside 😂.
And all of this is providing me such valuable opportunities to enquire within. To observe my thoughts, the pleasure & frustration. To explore what I love & what inspires me. Who I am when my vital energy is low. Who I am in the bliss of meditation. How I relate to the beautiful souls around me. Who I believe I am & whether that actually matters. How deeply I can accept & surrender to all of it.
I’m relishing this endeavour as a valuable chance to expand my awareness. It’s a different type of freedom. The freedom to safely challenge the urges to respond negatively. To challenge any physical & mental resistance. To find peace whilst trembling. To be disciplined. To notice. To be in complete unity. To wear socks & sandals 😂 To be grateful for all I have. To decide “whatever arises- love that” ❤️. .

<🌅Mantra for Chaos
What can you do when the world turns to shambles around you? Where do you go when chaos takes over your life, filling your days and nights with pressure, fear, tension, and stress? How can you survive a life of chaos, when you feel under attack and completely overwhelmed?•••
Throw a wrench into the gears of your brain and stop it from spiraling further out of control. Use the mantra “Ang Sang Wahe Guru” (pronounced Ung Sung Wa hey guru). It creates a vibration that allows your psyche to readjust itself. When you feel like you’ve split into a thousand pieces in the chaos surrounding you, this mantra will gradually pull each part of you back into your center. It connects the limited consciousness of your human self with the limitless great Self and so lifts you out of the chaos of the world. •••
🌞The words Ang Sang Wahe Guru, written by Guru Amar Das, the third Sikh Guru, may be translated as:: •••
💎“The dynamic, loving energy of the Infinite Source of All is dancing within my every cell, and is present in my every limb. My individual consciousness merges with the Universal consciousness.”💎 •••
To really connect with this mantra, sit in easy pose with a straight spine and place your hands in Gyan Mudra (thumb and forefinger touching). Take as much time as you need…try 11 minutes or 31 minutes. Feel your inner guidance, the Source Energy within each cell (the Ang Sang Waheguru), and you will know the appropriate amount of time for YOU to chant.
And with time, you will feel the chaos subside within yourself. Then the magic happens. Once you are calm within, no external chaos will phase you. You will act with dignity and peace within the most chaotic of times.> 🔻VIA:: http://www.spiritvoyage.com/blog/index.php/mantra-for-chaos 👈
