If only Skyrim were real, what city would you really like to visit on Skyrim? I'll go to Whiterun
🎮 TES V : Skyrim LE
📝 Whiterun is located on the eastern end of its Hold, in the tundra plains that fill the center of Skyrim. It was founded by Jeek of the River, who was the captain of Jorrvaskr. Upon discovery of the Skyforge, he and his men constructed the great mead hall of Jorrvaskr, which at the time was the sole structure on the bluff. Now, Whiterun is a large city, albeit one that retains the feel of a smaller Nord village. The central location and easy access make it one of the most successful cities in trade.

It is nearing to be my second night in Helgen. The very blood in my veins seems to boil with every passing hour I spend here, and I've found myself unable to think of anything other than the fevered dream from the last night. Albeit short, the dream has branded my mind. I simply see a tall man with dark features and a strong build, running through a tunnel with daylight overhead as he crosses a wooden bridge. Suddenly, the world begins to shake, and the sunlight is removed from the tunnel as tons of stone comes crashing down behind him. Then - darkness. I think I may speak to Tulkas of this dream. All that I know is that this town was the first of many to be terrorized by Alduin. Perhaps my dragon-blood can sense his presence here still? But, even so, who is the man from my dream?
Helgen was a "backwater hovel" called the "Gateway to the North" due to the many travelers who visited while going to or from nearby Cyrodiil. It lay northeast of the town of Falkreath and southwest of the Throat of the World. In 4E 201 during the Stormcloak Rebellion, Ulfric Stormcloak was captured nearby and transported to Helgen to be executed, only to be spared in the chaos following the surprise reappearance and attack by Alduin. Helgen was devastated, and its ruins were abandoned to bandits. Under Emperor Droggo StormBlade's rule, Skyrim rejoined the Empire, and finding was extended to rebuild not only Helgen, but also Morthal, which was also destroyed by Alduin. •
