The moment we stand still as educators and think that we have all the answers is the moment that we stultify and cease being effective within our roles.
These past few months I’ve had the privilege of working with so many people from across the world who have both inspired me and challenged me. All of them have moved me forward in some way.
Now that Summer has made its way to us, perhaps it’s a time to reflect on ourselves, our sense of who we are and our great responsibility not only towards the children we work with but also as advocates of all children across the globe and their rights to play.
If we enable our children to play and have experiences that enable them to glow, then in that moment we are making a statement about ALL children. We are invisibly connecting with all the other educators out there who are changing the possibilities of present that becomes the future.
Here in England there are ancient trackways that follow what some believe are ‘leylines’ of energy connecting special places across the landscape. Similarly, you are creating a network - ‘playlines’ - each instant of play and freedom from control joining together to form a chorus of advocacy, a cathedral of magic.
Get stuck into Summer, relax, unwind and then come next academic year let’s do our utmost to extend those playlines even further. The future needs us to... 👧🏼not🤖

Since September 2010, I have done everything I possibly can to get my life on track,
After having a breakdown in late 2009 after years of partying waaaaay too much, forgetting that it wasn't actually a job.
For about 5 years I struggled to hold down a job and eventually became unemployable in my home town, as I'd gained a reputation as a hell raiser, drinking, drugs and turning up with the odd black eye or busted hand.
In 2011 I had to do something and got a job on a building site labouring, even though I'd never even used a power tool I somehow made myself indispensable as my attitude to the job in front was strong, jobs moved quicker and things got done.
This was a year that I will pin point as the foundation of my current mindset, with the right attitude you can achieve anything.
After that year i moved to Leeds and got a job in men's hairdressing, within 6 months I was promoted, within another year I was promoted again and was second in command, from there I trained at Savills Barbers and then Australia, then to Berlin, Drammen and now Belfast.
The once drunken unemployable liability, is now offered a new job or opportunity on a weekly basis yes I have failed more times than I've succeeded, but I've learned more from falling down than I have by playing it safe.
The thing is I'm only just getting warmed up.
Projects are a part of our lives. In minor or major areas of life, we encounter, create or carry out projects.
From personal events to office events, family and friends, etc..
We've got you covered!
