‘No smoke without fire 🌋’
Smoke and fire are two things that are tricky for me to capture with my white backdrop but those licks of flames 🔥 are unmistakable in any picture. Setting a grapefruit wedge on fire...now that’s a different story; but pretty dramatic if you got served a glass like this in a bar right?
I’m using @flordecana_en 12 year old rum from Nicaragua in this drink, which is also a riff on the country’s national cocktail, the Macuá...and I’m making fire and smoke because the Flor de Caña is aged at the base of the San Cristóbal Volcano 🌋.
From an ethical and sustainability standpoint, Flor de Caña is sustainably sourced and fair trade certified, so all my fresh ingredients are also fair trade.
• 50ml @flordecana_en 12 year old rum
• 25ml fair trade guava juice
• 25ml fresh fair trade grapefruit juice
• 1 dash liquid smoke
👉 shake all ingredients with ice and strain into glass. Garnish with a flaming grapefruit wedge 🔥.
