What will you do for you today?
This mornings run was so peaceful I turned off my headphones and listened to the rain while the birds sang to me🌲🐦🎼💦 7.25 for an hour cardio and all up and down my driveway :)my husband is back to work now, so we have to get what we can in when we can and I enjoy taking advantage of 5-6am. My husband can go for his morning exercise routine before work and while he’s gone I take advantage of sleeping kiddies and an empty driveway! We often limit ourselves to fewer options than we really have.
We look at things through a “black or white” lens.
This or that.
All or nothing.
With or against.
A or B.
We do this with politics.
We do this with diets.
We do this with spirituality.
In nearly every aspect of life, we put ideas into “boxes”. Often assuming mutual exclusivity.
One box or the other.
No crossover or intermingling of ideas.
We then assume that we have to choose one of those boxes.
Give ourselves a clean, clear label.
Identify with specific words and terms.
In an effort to describe our worldview.
In doing so, though, we close ourselves off to so many possibilities.
We often completely reject one idea simply because we’re drawn more toward another.
We don’t entertain the possibility that both ideas are valid.
That perhaps we can see truth in both.
Or that perhaps those aren’t even our only options.
That maybe, just maybe, we’re selling ourselves short.
Do you ever feel like you have to choose between two opposing ideas?
Struggling to figure out which one best “fits” you?
If so, you’re probably selling yourself short.
You don't have to pick a side.
Vegan or carnivore.
Republican or Democrat.
Religious or atheist.
You can find a middle ground.
You can seek out other options.
You can pull ideas from all perspectives.
Pick and choose to create your own worldview.
Think for yourself.
Let yourself explore all ideas.
Free from labels, teams, and boxes.
Free from limitations.
Free from judgment.

Hi I’m Yaa Owusu-Agyeman and I am your non-stereotypical medical doctor. I work as an Emergency Physician as well as a Health Services Manager at mPharma. Working with humans has made me appreciate life more and seek to effect change in the health sector. I quickly realised that the power to cause real change didn’t lie with the actual health professionals.
The media has so much power in these modern times and health professionals are almost ‘voiceless’. This inspired me to set up @reach.all_ which seeks to promote health literacy health, innovation and provide a platform for health professionals to have a voice. If everyone knows why we don’t always need to take antibiotics, I think it’s a step in the right direction. Education isn’t complete without health literacy. There are influencers and content creators for everything under the sun, why not for health?

Normality is slowly returning to our garage and this past week, editor Jaco van der Merwe has been sampling the new Suzuki S-Presso.
One of the most eagerly awaited new budget contenders that caused quite a stir before the March #covid_19 #lockdown, it is now also the cheapest new car you can buy in South Africa with the entry-level GL carrying a price tag of R134 900.
This however is the flagship S-Edition that is priced at R147 900 and for that you get a 50kW/90Nm 1.0 three-cylinder petrol engine hooked to rather positive feeling five-speed manual gearbox.
You also get a lot of kit for very little of your Randelas and because it weights only 770 kg, some 100 kg less than a Lotus Elise, it is rather peppy. Our biggest issue though is the awkward driving driving position and those skinny wheels which makes the styling look odd from some angles.
Simple yet powerful, right? We put ourselves in our little and sometimes what feels “safe” boxes and by doing that we never get to experience our true potential. I definitely needed this reminder today as I get back on track with my personal goals. With these simple steps to a good morning routine, you will uplift & up-level your life, it will bring clarity, calm, control, give you focus, set you up for the day, to create your greatest you.
Believe in yourself, putting these simple practices will give you the gift of time, to awaken your greatness that is within you, just waiting for you to tap into it.
Since the days began to feel a little slower, there isn't a more perfect time to appreciate the things we didn't use to have time for. Indulge in the things that you class as self care. Perhaps that's reading a chapter or two of a book, lighting some candles and taking a long hot bath or laying out your favourite skincare products, clipping back your hair and treating yourself to a facial. ✨

When you are a woman, mom and wife, and have bigger quads than 99% (sarcasm) of the male population on earth, you just know you are doing something right
My goal is to look, be and feel strong in every possible way, both inside and out, whether or not ill ever really feel strong enough to take on every challenge and bump along the way, I dont know, but what I do know, is that ive come sooo far, and grown sooo much, that right now im not afraid to embrace whatever comes my way
Morale is - Focus on your destination, focus on where you want to be, what you want to become and achieve, and never quit pursuing that destination of yours, then you will get there eventually with hard work, consistency and patience
This was inspired by a conversation I just had with a friend, we were talking about his job and how qualified or not he was for it, so I asked him how he felt about the job and he said he loved it, to which I replied “then who cares about the qualifications as long as it’s aligned with who you are!”
So today I invite you to choose alignment over qualification, feel into who you are, what you want to do and how you want to do it, you have the power to certify yourself 💚
