Flat feet, also known as fallen arches, have either no arch in their feet or one that is very low
Flat feet only need treatment if they cause discomfort, indicate an underlying disorder, or lead to pain elsewhere in the body. Some people appear to have a very low arch or no arch without ever experiencing problems.

Picture of Lewy Body Dementia
Lewy body dementia (LBD) is one of the most common types of progressive dementia. Lewy body dementia usually occurs sporadically, in people with no known family history of the disease. However, rare familial cases have occasionally been reported. In Lewy body dementia, cells die in the brain's cortex (outer layer), and in a part of the mid-brain called the substantia nigra. Many of the remaining nerve cells in the substantia nigra contain abnormal structures called Lewy bodies that are the hallmark of the disease.
The 🌀symptoms of Lewy body dementia overlap with Alzheimer's disease in many ways, and may include memory impairment, poor judgment, and confusion. H owever ey dy dementia typically also includes visual hallucinations, parkinsonian symptoms such as a shuffling gait (walk) and flexed posture, and day-to-day fluctuations in the severity of symptoms. Patients with Lewy body dementia live an average of 7 years after symptoms begin. ⚡There is no cure f⚡or Lewy body dementia, and treatments are aimed at controlling the parkinsonian and psychiatric symptoms of the disorder.

⚠️GIANT Abdominal Hernia⚠️
What you’re seeing is a patient tightening his stomach muscles while attempting to sit up in bed, which caused his hernia to protrude through the large weak spot between the abdominal rectus muscles.
This patient later had his hernia repaired successfully with surgical mesh.
A hernia occurs when there is a weakness or hole in the muscular wall that usually keeps abdominal organs in place. This defect allows organs and tissues to push through, or herniate, producing a bulge.
This particular case is an invisible hernia caused by an incompletely-healed surgical wound.
Incisional hernias occur most frequently through previous laparotomy scars. Widening or dehiscence of the scar allows intra-abdominal contents to herniate into the subcutaneous tissues.
They can occur months or years after an abdominal operation and appear as a small lump or swelling near the site of the original scar, especially when coughing.
See, most surgical wounds heal well, leaving the abdominal wall just as strong as it was before the operation. But if the cut that was made in the abdominal wall doesn’t grow back together tightly enough, the abdominal wall may be weakened in that area. If the scarred area can then no longer withstand the pressure in the abdomen, tissue or parts of organs might push through the gap that arises and bulge out.
Complications are similar to other hernias, and include incarceration, strangulation and intestinal obstruction.

A study a long time ago concluded that the average time it takes for a physician to interrupt a patient was seven seconds. Hmmm. Sounds too long 🤣. Do you tend to interrupt people or are you the good listener type?

Aldosterone is one of our adrenal hormones. You hear about cortisol more, but it didn’t work for my little jingle!
If you are so tired that you cannot peel yourself off the floor or are having mood swings, there is a good chance that a pesky unbalanced hormone is involved. Could be adrenal, thyroid, or female/male type. Let’s get this figured out!
Did you know that I am officially seeing functional medicine thyroid/hormone patients at @modernthyroidclinic? I can see you in-person at our office located in @aliveandwellaustin or virtually. Link in bio. xo
