Terrorizer and Nile at Herman's on 11/18/19. I regret that I never got to see Pete Sandoval drum with Morbid Angel. But getting to see him blast away with some of the best and most influential grindcore that he was a part of creating was just as special. Nile was great as well, and this time in a much smaller venue than the first time I saw them in NY years ago. Their sound was tight and on point and the energy of Denver was there to meet it head on for a fucking Monday night!
Pile Of Priests of Denver, CO. This is back when they opened for Nile and Terrorizer at Herman's on November 18th, 2019. I've been a lazy fuck and havent uploaded shit, but better late than never. First time getting to see these dudes live and they absolutely killed it. I really dig their material and am super stoked for their upcoming album dropping in May. If you havent seen the new artwork for it by Mark Richards of Heavyhand illustration, you are in for a treat. Perfect Death Metal goodness!

Jak się masz? Life is truly strange. You schedule, you plan ahead and then someone has a hankerin‘ for bat-omelette and the Thames is on fire. Everything seems pointless then somehow. That‘s why I‘m also not very into early predictions when it comes to „best album“ this or „best record“ that. Too often a band released something weeks before the end of a year and my whole list was for the Katz. But this record right here...holy blin...it‘s going to be very hard to beat. This album is an ironclad madtrain going berserk and crushing everything that‘s infront of it. The perfect amalgamation of the glory days of both, Black and Death Metal, while incorporating slow and sinister Doom Elements and insane vocals to create the absolute mindfuck. These guys, which are by the way also active in acts like Blood Incantation, Spectral Voice, Khemmis and Primitive Man, offering noisy, chaotic and harsh elements that‘ll make you lose your mind just only to transition into the most heavy and absolute crazy breakdowns. Man, those guys are probably getting sued for breaking lots of necks with this banger of a record. If you‘re into Death Metal that is drenched in black and sinister atmosphere, that has insane vocals and face melting riffs... Get.The.Fuck.Into.This! Ah, what am I saying. If you have a heart for heavy and extreme music, you need this record in your life. Right up to the top of my list in the Death Metal department. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
