Meet the charango, a small version of the acoustic guitar, but even more powerful 🎸🎶 Dressed in a traditional costume and a big smile, the citizens of Cusco will delight you with unique songs that represent the culture and history of Peru. Would you like to play the charango? 😉

What places have you visited that really surprised you?
Even though it’s been 3 years since I visited Cusco, Peru this trip always come to mind as one of my top travel memories. Like many people, I visited Cusco as part of a trip to Machu Picchu. I planned to just spend some time here to help adjust to the altitude, so I really didn’t have any expectations for Cusco. In my mind it was a place to wait so I could enjoy Machu Picchu without getting sick. But Cusco really surprised me! When I landed in the city I headed straight for Plaza de Armas (pictured here) and found a random restaurant with a balcony so I could sit & enjoy the sunshine & this awesome view. I don’t even remember what I ate but I’ll never forget the feeling of sitting on that balcony and just enjoying the sites & sounds of this bustling plaza.
Let me know what places have taken you by surprise!
