I do NOT believe in diets. I’ve tried low sugar/carb diets and drove myself crazy plus it wasn’t sustainable. But I’m VERY excited to announce that today I’m committing to a healthier lifestyle and starting my BeachBody “2 Bunny” (hence my bunny fingers 🐰✌️) program! On the road to losing 30 pounds... 2 lbs at a time! No counting calories, no “points” system, no counting macros. Just simple, healthy and delicious meals with a daily shake without restricting myself from any food groups. And 30 minute at-home workouts to fit in while Felix naps! Am I still going to enjoy my glass of Malbec and bowl of Haagen-Daz ice cream? Of course! Treat yoself 🙌 Quitting ice cream and wine is just crazy talk 😜 I’m putting this out in ‘insta land’ to keep myself accountable and hopefully inspire others to make healthier choices! Now... let’s do the damn thang!
It's time to get Real.... I have a serious case of the 'Mondays' today guys. There are a few reasons for this. First of all, well, it's Monday and I want it to be Friday. I'm tired, grumpy and just not feeling it.
Secondly, (here's where it's time to get real...) pregnancy is no joke. I by no means feel like I have had a rough pregnancy. Having said that, I can't say that I love it either. Being someone who went through years of overcoming depression and an eating disorder, this has been a hard mental and physical adjustment for me!
I could not be more ecstatic about bringing my baby girl into the world, so don't get me wrong. But some mornings, it is a true struggle to look in the mirror, and love and be happy with my body. So how do I overcome that? I push myself daily.... mentally and physically; I rest when I need to, I meditate, I say affirmations, I journal, I workout... these are all of the things that help get my head on straight so that I can carry myself around proudly.
Like I said, some days it definitely doesn't come easy if at all, but I know what buttons I have to push on myself and what buttons I have to stay away from!

Guess what? I was up late last night (Curt and I decided to rearrange the basement last minute😂😂) I slept miserably (thank you RLS in the 2nd trimester!) And woke up exhausted and grumpy. BUT... then I looked outside and remembered that I'm not living this life just for me... I have a little one getting bigger and stronger every day based on how I am living each day. So I fueled up with my Spark and Rehydrate, did a 30 minute 'push circuit' of a variety of exercises including push ups, squats with an overhead press, step ups, tricep dips, walking planks, etc. and spent 25 minutes walking/jogging outside in this AMAZING weather.
Now? I feel fantastic. I got my workout in, feel energized (after eating an egg white scramble with some salsa and a banana!) and am ready to tackle the rest of my day helping clients and getting ahead in work for the week.
Had I dwelled on the fact that I didn't sleep well and felt miserable and used that as an excuse to sleep in and 'relax' I would probably still be on the couch right now.
Get up, fuel up, and get moving! Start this week off like you mean it!

Because some Mondays, you just need some yoga.... My body has been a little achey lately and although my usual personality will push me through a tough workout, today I decided to listen and stretch it out instead. You have to do what's best for yourself Everyday! Sometimes, that is pushing yourself a little harder, and other days it's about slowing down, doing some yoga, going for a walk....
