GOOD CREDIT TIPS// This jumpsuit, in white, was my only cyber Monday purchase⠀ The only thing sexier than a good sale is GOOD CREDIT ⠀ I Learned the hard way HOW EASILY credit can be affected 🤨⠀ I JUST got my credit score UP these last few years following the advice of @DrShlof , and then Bam! It took a hit without me knowing what I was doing wrong in just ONE MONTH. With the wedding, I had high credit card utilization- NO debt or late payments even. ⠀ Even though I had the money to pay it off, I was doing it incrementally and on time because I thought I could- BAD IDEA! ⠀ Good idea: Have multiple lines of credit but you actually want the utilization to be LOW What this means ⚡️don’t just pay your minimum balance, pay off as much as you can as soon as possible !!! ⠀ It’s easy to feel like you need more, and shopping can produce addicting, feel good hormones but truly no clothing or shoes is more important than good credit⠀ Don’t over extend yourself EVEN IF ITS A SALE! ⠀ Bad credit can affect you for years!!! ⠀ Tips from @drshlof 1. Don’t open credit cards to save at stores (aka say no whenever they ask as it usually damages your credit more than you’ll save)⠀ 2. Ask your CC company to raise your credit limit every few months (this keeps utilization low, as long as your careful not to use that credit or over extend).⠀ 3. Don’t wait for your bill to come out to pay it down- this way you can use your credit limit, without it being reported to the CC bureau and won’t affect your score. You get CC points this way too. ⠀ 4. I track my score for free using @creditkarma (It also doesn’t affect your score if you do an inquiry, whereas if applying for a new card it does impact your score) it’s an app and I get notifications when it goes up and down ♥️🌙
