My nine year-old, Daniel, loves adventure, is always pushing the envelope. He seems to find trouble wherever it is. He’s also OBSESSED with cool clothes. Our older son is the exact opposite.
I’ve learned that each child’s personality requires a completely different styling of parenting. If your child loves being a leader, they respond more favorably if you make them feel like they’re in charge of getting something done (I.E. making sure the beds are made daily; being in charge of no cell phones at the dinner table, etc). In my opinion, a child that wants to be respected as a leader will not respond as favorably to being “told” to do something. My older son doesn’t necessarily want to be a leader, so putting him “in charge” of something doesn’t really work. Instead, giving him an incentive to do something (i.e. longer time on his electronics, staying up late, etc.) is what works best. Every child is unique in their own ways, and it’s what makes being a parent and raising a child right so rewarding!
I’d love to hear what techniques all of you have used to make parenting your children so much easier!

Do you ever just laugh thinking about the things that stressed you out a few years ago? 👋🏽 When I look back on the social situations and people and relationships and exams and dreams and fears and thoughts and perfectionisms and hurtful words and finances and worries (etc) that caused me full-blown anxiety 3 years ago... I just kinda chuckle. My problems were real and they mattered— but they didn’t matter *that* much. They didn’t matter enough to cling to control (which we never really have) and drive myself crazy over every little thing. They didn’t matter enough for me to give them all of my energy and my joy. Not a one of ‘em ruined my life at the time, and they didn’t destroy my future... cuz they sure don’t matter today. 🌱
I’m still wildly ambitious, hardworking, sometimes people-pleasing, sensitive, and I deal with moments of feeling overwhelmed... but they’re moments. I don’t “live there.” My life still has plenty of problems but it is more peaceful than it has ever been. That has so much to do with my faith, my community, and intense self-work... but a lot of my peace has come from just learning to let go. Learning takes PRACTICE, and I get better every day. You’ve probably seen this rule floating around social media: “If it’s not going to matter 5 years from now, don’t let yourself be upset about it for more than 5 minutes.” I think that’s pretty damn wise. Be gentle with yourself and stingy with where your energy goes... worrying deserves none of it. You’re going to get through whatever your current issue is, just like you have gotten through every other issue up until this point. So shoutout to everything making us uncomfortable right now: it’s all temporary. We’ll be laughing at it in a few years. #SundayScaries got nothing on you, baby 💪🏽🖤

YAY!! 💥🚀 👉 I ❤️ MONDAY'S! Do you?
It's a NEW WEEK = NEW OPPORTUNITIES!
📸 Photo@Malta last night: enjoyed a nice relaxing evening with dinner, some coctails, amazing sea/sunset view and music at 1926 beach club. I am here this week for board- and businessmeetings - and I love working in this environment.

Social media is one of my greatest passions—
Yet even I can agree that there are serious risks associated with it.
I’ve seen dinners & parties where everyone is too occupied with their screens to even interact.
I’ve seen people focused more on appearing like they’re having a good time online than actually having a good time.
I’ve also seen people lose the people they love chasing after strangers in the online world...
I agree with this quote.
Back when phones had wires, people were free.
Double tap if you can relate

I truly believe that we die when we stop learning. When it comes to life, we’re either climbing or we’re sliding.
If you want to make more money, if you want to have more money in retirement, more time for you, more freedom, then never stop investing in yourself.
Gaining more knowledge will transform your life experiences into wisdom; and wisdom will provide you with the insight and guidance to reach your next level.
I currently spend well over $100k a year on continued learning, and you following me shows me that we are kindred spirits.
But please remember…
to make sure you are learning from someone who has done what you want to accomplish on a grander scale.
Get a mentor or a coach. Do an internship. Digest knowledge from those who have the path and the plan to the success you desire.
Do you have someone to model yourself after or help keep you accountable?

Studies show that a disorganised desk leads to misplaced documents, lost information, and increased stress levels.🗂 As a Virtual Assistant or an online business owner efficiency and productivity are 🔑 to the success of your business. 👩💻 Here are 10 ways to organise your desk so that you are 100% efficient and productive: ♥️ ✅Clear your desk of any unwanted papers and things that don't belong there ✅Get rid of any papers or documents that are no longer necessary ✅Try and go digital with your business, which means any papers or notes get typed up and stored in a safe place (I love https://evernote.com/ for this) ✅Take all your sticky reminders, notes, memos and load them up on to a smart to do list app where you can tick off tasks done as you go (I love wunderlist.com/ for this) ✅Take your stationery and store it in one place ✅Take your books and store those in a specified place ✅Input all your meetings and calls into a digital calendar (Outlook or Gmail) so that you never miss an important meeting again (including personal) ✅Try keeping one notepad only to jot down urgent notes ✅At the end of the day clear your desk of any suspect items that appeared throughout the day 😀 ✅Rinse and repeat
