I’m a fan of Stefan Feld so lately I’ve sort of taken it upon myself to try out all of his other titles. So where does Bora Bora rank? We shall see. .
The first time I played this game was with 4 players, and let me just say, I don’t know if I’d recommend it at that player count. It was INCREDIBLY frustrating. The main rule when taking actions is that you can only place your die on an action tile if it is lower than the lowest die already on the tile. As you can imagine, this can be very restrictive without proper ways to mitigate your dice rolls. In CoB, it’s nice because you can always ditch a die in exchange for 2 workers. In this game, unless you have the god expansion tiles, you can only mitigate dice via god cards which aren’t as easy to acquire. As a result, I had one or two rounds with all very high die rolls, which made it difficult for me to do ANYTHING, totally ruining my plans. I played it a couple of times again recently at 2 players, and it’s much more open and accessible. I think the game employs a lot of neat mechanics that go hand in hand with one another, such as recruiting the men and women in order to utilize their powers at the end of the round, and comboing god cards at the most opportune moments. The migration action and planting your huts on the island also work well with the rest of the actions, and I definitely found this game to have a pretty unique feel from the rest of his titles. The end-game bonuses are hard to get, and it seems like there are so many strategies you can employ, but we feel like there really is only one - build all of your buildings. I’m not a fan of the theme at all, or the idea of recruiting men and women tribespeople, but I do find the game to be pretty interesting.
Overall, Bora Bora probably ranks about 5th for Felds as of now but we definitely like it enough to hold onto it. It can be pretty frustrating,, but has clever mechanisms and can cause a nice little brain sizzle when playing. Be warned. .
Things I Enjoyed:
* Mechanics that work with one another
* Good replayability
* Plays well with 2
Not so much:
* Difficult to mitigate poor dice rolls
Which is your favorite Feld?

I'm not very good at having my photo taken without laughing out of sheer awkwardness but I wanted to share this lovely skirt sent to me by @ludocherry so please ignore my idiocy 😉
The skirt has the cutest little D20 cherry's with a real 1950's vibe which is a favourite of mine as I love rockabilly style. These full circle skirts and 50's style shirts are coming to Kickstarter 1st October in 4 different fabrics, all subtlety inspired by tabletop gaming. I love the meeple garden design 😍 Oh and it has POCKETS!! If you know me you'll know how important this is to me!
If you're interested in this kind of thing be sure to give @ludocherry a follow to find out more! P.s This is NOT a paid preview I just wanted to share this awesome project!
Playing #TinyTowns feels something like this: “uhm … what just happened? 🤔 Everything was going perfect a second ago, but now there are bricks everywhere!!!” 🧱 I think, the concept the game is built around is claustrophobia – it gets so intensely tight in the last rounds! 😬 Tried to zoom in for the picture, so you wouldn’t see my embarrassing 6-space crater in the middle of my town … could’ve fit another monument in there (but only if it consisted mainly of bricks 🙄) Don’t get me wrong! This game is awesome … I’m just not very good at it! 😅 Looking forward to the German version being released by @pegasusspiele this fall! I’ll be trading my English edition for it probably! 😍 #alderacentertainmentgroup#aeg#pegasusspiele#petermcpherson

We played Concordia for our Thursday game night. We have only played a handful of times, but we all agree it's a great game! There are so many components to this game, and different ways to score points that I honestly never know who will win until the final score add up. I also have zero clue the best way to strategize for this game (like I said there are so many different areas you could go for with points) but it's still always fun.
Last night we played in a slightly smaller map, which did make things quite a bit trickier. Costs quickly rose but it just adds to the excitement.
If you haven't played this game I would highly recommend it. Ive only heard good things from other people who have played as well.
Now I just need to work on my Concordia strategy!

Just pretend you can’t see my wives hand holding the lighter and in looks like this Dragon meeple has come alive!...? 🤔#5days5meeples challange from @nerdyburduk day 2 and this bad boy from #Funkelschatz or #dragonsbreath from @haba.de @habausa has brought our household a lot of fun. Melting the ice with this dragon is a firm favourite with my 4 year old. I challange @ildadoincantato if you have time in-between playing and podcasting to come up with something better!🤗
