“A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken.”
Ecclesiastes 4:12 NLT -
Hello world. I know I've been m.i.a for a little while, about 6 or 7 months to be exact. So first and foremost I want to say all praise due to God I'm alive and well. Especially during these times. I disconnected just to put some focus into my life, my wife, my religion and my family. It paid off big time because the Almighty has blessed me with so much in these last 6 months. Without getting into too much detail i just wanna say im grateful to Allah. I also want to thank the people that checked on me. Some of which i was shocked to see hit me up. Im thankful for that because in these times you truly never know. And at this point im not evening talking about COVID-19. Thats the least of my worries. Im talking about the big elephant in the room. I'm talking about that fact that I'm BLACK and because of the color of my skin i have a huge target on my back.. or on my neck...Which ever they see fit. I mean on the real it doesn't matter how well my life is going at this point, it doesn't matter how successful i am, it doesn't matter how much i do things by the book... people that look just like me are still being slaughtered in the streets in broad daylight while being recorded with a high definition cell phone cameras. That's how little our lives matters to them. I literally didnt even mean for this caption to be this long. So if i can sum this all up. I came back to social media to scream Black LIVES MATTERS ! Because they do. And i see any of my followers on some all lives matter garbage.. if you even hint at it.. i dont care if I've known you my whole life...WALLAHI.. im blocking you. 💯💯✊🏽✊🏾✊🏿 -

Post-Quarantine Workout Chronicles.
So since the gyms were closed, I got into a deep funk. Lost a lot of muscle mass. Put on a few pounds. I’m around 265lbs now. I like the size and the weight. But I don’t like how it sits nor how my clothes fit.
Since my return to the gym, I’ve noticed that I haven’t lost much strength...maybe 5-10% which isn’t terrible for for y standards. However, I don’t have the endurance like I had. I’ve been focusing on strength and muscle growth a bit more so that I can get my size back. Low reps and higher weight. I haven’t quite maxed out because I don’t want to hurt myself (though I know that I could).
But I’m gonna switch it up so that I can incorporate more endurance training. Shit hurts now and my recovery is terrible. LOL.
Can’t walk around calling myself The Black Terminator if I’m not doing Terminator shit.
Shoutout to @kevinhateshiphop for putting me on to this song.

Shout out to @iammikemuse 👌🏾 for working towards a solution and experimenting with this strategy to end police brutality. It uses tech to create a guidebook for a strategic voting system to end police violence. Technology if we use it wisely, will help us level the playing field in everything. I am a huge believer in this. It will allow us to get ahead rather than trying to catch up with a society that had a 400+ year head start. Thank you @amani_dukeanddame 👌🏾 for bringing this to my attention. Link in bio for more information. #votequadrant#blackexcellence#innovation

“Weeks ago, I ran to honor the precious life of #AhmaudArbery & stand up against his vicious murder at the hands of two #WhiteSuprematists. What I didn’t know is that his murder would create a fire in me to activate my #voice for change!
Since that #run for #Ahmaud, I’ve started running several times a week and charged myself to not make these runs in vain! I’m so proud that my #ThriveSisters & #SmallBiz, partners share this same passion for justice & racial reconciliation—we are tired of the implicit & explicit #Racial biases that plague our society & the violence of #Police toward our #BlackMen! At #WeThrive, we push our clients to not merely exist, but to #THRIVE! And, now’s the time to redirect this energy to the FIGHT OF OUR LIVES & Spotlighting #BlackExcellence. #Thrivers, it’s your turn. Are you ready for the run against racism? Join us on the #marathon!” [email protected]__

over the past few days I’ve felt more empowered than ever to speak up and fully embrace my identity. I’ve felt the urgency to use my platform to raise awareness, resources, and funds. I’ve listened to the words of my peers who have in many cases taken the words right out of my mouth. they’ve articulated a shared struggle and a shared pain. so many repressed feelings. so much fear and hurt.
I’m looking back at all the moments I was the only person of color in the room. how many times none of the models on a website looked like me. how many times a hair dresser panicked and asked ME how to cut & style my hair, because it’s “WOW SO THICK & CURLY! how do you deal with all that?” how deeply sad & offended I’ve felt following an insensitive & racist remark (because of my lighter brown skin, sometimes even those close to me seem to forget about my blackness). how uncomfortable I’ve been when my brown body has been openly & unabashedly fetishized. the countless moments I’ve felt different/other. the constant fear & worry around the safety of my brother and father because of their darker and much darker skin.
now that the world seems to be listening, I’ll continue to tell my story and speak up against injustice. I’ve hidden my own pain/thoughts/feelings and at times presented a watered down version of myself for fear of making others feel awkward or uncomfortable. that ends now.

Family the time is now. We haven’t come this far just to get this far. To recognize your strength is to truly have knowledge of who you are. We are the chosen so let’s move like such. Much love to all the kings and queens, it’s our time to rise up. . .

Growing up in Brixton I was one of the only white kids amongst my black brothers and sisters for miles on end. ———————————————————————————
I grew up in an environment where the vast majority of the community was of black origin and in 30 years of living on this planet I have never experienced one ounce of racism, not once. ———————————————————————————
Instead I have been supported, protected and nurtured by the most loyal, intelligent and beautiful minds I have and will ever come across. ———————————————————————————
I truly wish everyone could see what I have seen and feel what I have experienced within the black community.
Thank you to my family for all you have taught me and supported me in, to my black brothers and sisters, I love and honour you all. ———————————————————————————
It is not enough to be non-racist we must be anti-racist. We must organise, unite and take a stand.
We have the blueprint, read everything you can on Martin Luther King and take to the streets in mass with his notion. ———————————————————————————
When you finally wake up, you realise we are all from the exact same place. In this place there is no white, there is no black. It is time to wake up. ———————————————————————————
