Bernie Sanders on Israel’s decision to deny entrance to two elected U.S. officials: “If Israel doesn’t want members of the United States Congress to visit their country…maybe they can respectfully decline the billions of dollars that we give to Israel.”

This epic battle over the 2016 primary and who’s to blame for Trump has been particularly heated on Twitter the last few days and it’s fkn exhausting. Anybody who knows anything about this page can deduce where I fall on the matter, but I am not certain it will ever be resolved. .
I will reiterate some facts: the vast majority of Bernie primary voters in 2016 ended up voting for Hillary in the general election. Actually at a much higher clip than did Hillary 2008 primary voters ended up supporting Obama over McCain. So the argument against Bernie supporters just doesn’t hold any water when one considers the empirical data. What it comes down to is that Hillary people will never, ever admit that the reason Hillary lost to Trump is because they themselves ran a horrible campaign. And on the other side Berners will never back down to Attacks, cheating and smears against Sanders. We take this shit really seriously because people’s lives and our collective future is at stake.
When it comes down to it, I am most worried as a student of history who has seen time and again over the past century or so the “Left” fighting amongst themselves and never actually taking power. I don’t have an answer on how to bridge this divide but I honestly just wish it would fkn stop already.
