Have to ______________ today? Be brave!
You are courageous. You have the ability to face whatever is ahead with the strength and resilience you possess. You are braver than you think you are! I believe that you can get through whatever you day holds! I hope you do too!
Come as you are
Come in on the days you want to hide
Come together as friends so we can fight our battles side by side
We aren't designed to go at life alone
We are created to connect to each other for empowerment and support.
We are Powerhouse Princesses!
Not a fairy princess waiting for a knight to fight off her enemies. Instead we are learning to become strong together physically, mentally and spiritually.
For when the time comes we can slay our own dragons!
We are Powerhouses hear us ROAR!
We're excited to feature our second student's Brave Story🥰. Hear from Taylor: "I heard about Brave when I was a freshman in 2018. The student director of my school signed me up for the program that summer. I was hesitant at first because I didn’t know what I was getting myself into. I didn’t know anything about coding. But when I learned that it was free to attend with technology that we could use, I was amazed. I had never heard of a camp like that. The first day was super exciting because I was meeting girls from different backgrounds in the city. I was so happy to come back every day and to learn something more about coding." ℕ𝕠 𝕠𝕟𝕖 𝕖𝕧𝕖𝕣 𝕞𝕒𝕕𝕖 𝕒 𝕕𝕚𝕗𝕗𝕖𝕣𝕖𝕟𝕔𝕖 𝕓𝕪 𝕓𝕖𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕝𝕚𝕜𝕖 𝕖𝕧𝕖𝕣𝕪𝕠𝕟𝕖 𝕖𝕝𝕤𝕖. You were made to change the world, you were made for great things, amazing things, 𝕝𝕚𝕗𝕖 𝕔𝕙𝕒𝕟𝕘𝕚𝕟𝕘 things, but you don’t want to take that first step because that would require you to 𝕔𝕙𝕒𝕟𝕘𝕖 and change is just a no right? You were called to be different, God made you YOU. Take a second and think about that, you’re alive, you’re breathing, you only get one life. 𝕆𝕟𝕖. Live it to the freaking fullest. Take that first step, live your life on the edge, stop sitting there 𝕨𝕚𝕤𝕙𝕚𝕟𝕘 your life could be different and start building the life you want.
Well I did it. I finally got laser eye surgery after five years of being a scaredy-cat. My eyes aren’t quiet there yet. Still waiting for my distance vision to catch up with my near site but trying to be patient. It feels good to be free of glasses and struggling to get contacts in. Trying to figure out contacts mid thirties isn’t easy folks.
This process made me really think about my fears. My fear of panicking during the procedure. It’s crazy how past negative experience keeps you from doing certain things. And it doesn’t have to be big things. Like panicking during a 45 minute MRI scan or getting a cavity during a sinus infection and fully regretting it because you can’t breathe.
But the procedure actually was better than what I thought.
Now to trust it will all come together.
