Nature is the best medicine, for mind, body, and soul. So we're taking this time to try our hands at some #bushcraft skills and build a #wilderness oasis to escape the craziness! Can't wait to share the finished project!

Finishing hanging the 3.5lb Blue Grass double bit Michigan #axe on a hickory handle.
Half Hatchets are a great balance between form and function-and totally underrated. I'm really surprised that they aren't more popular in the bushcraft scene. The dead straight handle on this one makes it a great thrower, but it can still perform a variety of tasks.
My favorite Snow and Nealley axe. They’ve never been known for their hangs or handles in my opinion and went through a pretty crude era. (1980’s) This one however is as good as they get. (1940’s or 50’s?)Original S&N no. 1, 28 inch octagon handle and a 3 1/4 pound wedge head. American S&N heads have superior steel with a perfect hardness to hold an edge and rarely ever chip or crack. You don’t see a lot of cheek stamped Snows. I will duplicate this handle as it has the perfect size and feel with curves in the right places. #snowandnealley#bangormaine#maineaxe#perfectaxe#axejunkies#axeaddicts#oldaxes#oldtools#axerestoration

3.5 lb Kelly Woodslasher double bit. Unmarked, but love the red paint remnants. And sharp AF, using just a couple of files! #axejunkies pic.twitter.com/iZ11mw97z2
My 2-axe Blue Grass collection - a Kentucky brand from now-defunct Belknap Hardware.
