I'm well aware that #BlackLivesMatter and #Antifa are in red states but where are they?
Those are not red areas of the US.

Neo-Nazi opportunists trying to co-opt the protests in #Austin#Texas today. Remember: there are legitimate, righteous, peaceful protesters who want #JusticeForGeorgeFloyd and then there are others who want to discredit the message and sow anarchy and discord. while attending the protest that led to a riot in san antonio i couldn’t help but notice how many signs and spray painted walls had “ACAB” written on them. at the riot it felt like you only had two options. you’re either with the law enforcement or you’re with the people.
as i was filming the chaos ensuing in san antonio i had started fist bumping the people i walked past and told them to stay safe.
this included law enforcement.
when interacting with the protesters there weren’t any issues, but i had started receiving backlash from people when i was interacting with the police.
the agenda of these protests we’re seeing around the country are to prevent more unnecessary deaths and police brutality like we saw with george floyd. may he rest in peace.
during these protests we need to remember we are all one team, one people. we are all humans. instead of fighting each other, let us join hands and fight for what is right. no one (including law enforcement) needs to be killed.
i don’t believe all cops are good. but i am positive that not all cops are bad. the same can be said about the people.
not all people are good, but they are definitely not all bad.
this is sheriff chris swanson from genesee county in michigan. this is how you make change.
the people are mad.
we will not stop until we see change. but releasing tear gas and shooting rubber bullets is only going to make the people more violent.
silence speaks volumes.
i admire sheriff swanson for this speech he gave. i wish more were like him.
the videos surfacing from the protests in new york and many other cities showing even more police brutality is disgusting.
the videos surfacing from the protests around the nation of people looting and vandalizing their cities is disgusting.
we need change.
this is the way to do it.
This is Austin Texas activism and leadership.
Defund the police? Ummm.....I am not sure why we want to do that. They are the ones protecting from riots on this very day you post this. #Idiocracyhttps://twitter.com/Grassroots_News/status/1267266483433934855 …
This is history. I want generations after me to know they can make a difference. They can exercise their rights peacefully. Their voices matter. However, there are people who infiltrate these protest with a different agenda. Stealing from small businesses & black owned businesses has absolutely nothing to do with the mission! If your confused on why this is happening all over the world do your research & study black history! Please stay focus, but above all please keep the peace. 🖤

(Don’t usually post stuff like this) Hurt, disgusted and broken. I won’t rant too much as I did on my Facebook page. This homeless man literally has nothing, nothing. You’re just tarnishing the message of the people trying to MAKE CHANGE. What did this man do to you? EVERYONE THERE watching this allowing this to happen is a pure coward. You think George Floyd would want this!? You’re taking the attention off of the mission for change. Destroying your OWN community, harming your own people! This is just disgusting. Even George Floyd’s family is pleading to protest safely this is anarchy. What happened to George was disgusting, hard to watch and heart wrenching LET THE REAL PEOPLE OUT THERE MAKE CHANGE HAPPEN AN YOU WRECKLESS LAMES STAT HOME!! Austin is a complete war zone right now. I called 911 as there were hundreds of people looting this liquor store. People wake the fuck up!!! You’re hurting your neighbors and friends by looting their small mom and pop stores. Thank you first responders as you’ve got a dangerous job. Not #ftp thank the police as many of them are amazing people. #thankyoufirstresponders#austintexas#austinpolice@austin_police@fox7austin

For most, it’s daily sustenance.
For some, it’s sacred.
For a few, it’s meaningless.
To Me, it’s Love.
Cooking Food, Sharing Food and Enjoying Food has always been my way of joy, calm and peace.
During these uncertain times of COVID-19, Racism, and Riots, I’ve experienced moments of sadness, loneliness, frustration and anxiety.
But cooking helped me to keep busy, share with loved ones and find clarity through what I love to do.
So friends and fam, Welcome to Yoonie’s Food!
I hope y’all find joy and a breath of fresh air through my Love Language (food).
Disclaimer: I am not a classically trained Chef.
I don’t know that I’ve ever introduced myself on here, so better late than never!
I’m Sam Jacobson - Samantha, really, but my 3rd grade teacher started calling me Sam & it’s stuck ever since! I was born in the suburbs of Philly, halfway between the city and Amish country so the real true ‘burbs. My mum immigrated here from England so I’ve been traveling to see family across the pond since I was an infant, & my dad was born and raised in a very Jewish neighborhood in Philly so my roots are strong there. I’m the oldest of 3 kids, we’re all pretty creative and spent a lot of time outside collecting bits of nature and playing in trees and creeks. We also made up a LOT of movies & live shows that we forced our family to sit through 😂 & of course I never went anywhere without a backpack full of art supplies. *
I always loved the buzz of cities though & moved to NYC when I was 18 to get a B.A. in Theatrical Costume Design at @nycmarymount. I was lucky to be in the hub of the theater world there & I landed my first professional gig the summer after my sophomore year as an assistant costume designer for an off-broadway play with @clubbedthumb. This led to many more off-Broadway jobs, a season in the costume shop at @santafeopera, an assistant to the wonderful @jesspabst on The Heidi Chronicles on Broadway, and two seasons in the wardrobe department for @broadcity. *
Alas, I became burnt out at 25 - which is also when I began my fight with anxiety & depression- & decided I needed to explore another path. So partner @thericeandbean & I moved here to #austintexas in 2016 for the delicious food, the warm weather, the supportive creative community, & of course the weirdness. *
I explored a lot of creative careers, including floral design, wigs, silversmithing for the awesome @haleylebeuf & @limbojewelry, then ultimately came out of my cocoon when I found muraling, tapped back into my love of fine art & having been walking that path ever since!
That’s my journey in a nutshell, does anyone share any similarities in their path to the present? I love to hear about shared experiences so don’t be a stranger! Thanks for all your support thus far friends ❤️

Smh. This is not what the protests are about. This is a black owned small business. Don’t let others confuse you and start stuff like this as a misdirection. I bet 100% this was motivated by greed and people took advantage of a situation only looking out for themselves.
We need to help. Link in bio. Excerpt from go fund me page below about @privatestockatx

Private Stock Premium Boutique is a Black Owned Black Operated clothing boutique on 6th Street in Austin Texas that was looted during the George Floyd police brutality protests in Austin Texas on May 30th. Private Stock’s windows were smashed and people looted almost all of their property within minutes. They were just starting to recover from the coronavirus pandemic, when their business was destroyed by looters. This is a small business, locally owned and operated, and any help to recover from this senseless act of violence is greatly appreciated.
